(UPDATE June 9th, 2009)Frozen Lands tiles are done and can be found on the download page link below. You can download just the new tiles or both in a bundle zip.

************How To Use*************
I use the tiles at 1 Hex = 10 Miles, but you can use them for whatever scale fits your needs.

In Maptool -
1- Create a hex grid map, 100dpi, w/ blue ocean colored background
2- Set your background images to snap to grid
3- drop in the tiles where you want
4- (Optional) draw in Rivers, Roads, and Cities (small circles) on the objects layer.

***********************************

Some people expressed an interest in the tiles i use to create overland maps for my games.. they can be found at this other forum post.

http://projectrpg.freeforums.org/hex-map-tiles-t10.html

they should get you by until torstan does some prettier ones for us :)

:) yw

My current campaign has not really explored the far reaches of my world so i haven't made any tiles for things like tundra or Ice Flows... but such things would be fairly simple.

I'll add to the set if there is an interest or need.

!!!!

These

are

AWESOME!

Oh the old school feel of a Greyhawk map - only way better!

Now I can begin mapping my own little DIY world that I've been wanting to for so long but just haven't had the right tool for.

THANK YOU!

Oh, and MAKE MORE! (and I mean that order in the nicest possible way of course! ;))

Snowcapped mountians
Tundra
Jungle

etc.

1 True Everyday Hero(TM) award for you, sir!

I'll actually have a need for some wastes/desert in a little while, but I could probably make my own. If you don't get to it first, I'll send what I make your way.

Great !
I really like them and as wrathchild already stated in this thread, they are a very nice old school feel.

And on the "please make more" subject :

>Snowcapped mountians, Tundra, Jungle is needed

I'll add to the request : shores, sea/ocean, arctic and "desolated/evil land".

PS : and village, city, big city ?

Great suggestions...

I'm almost done with a Frozen/Cold lands set.. with snowy mountains, forests and tundra and Ice ...I'll see what i can come up with for wastelands and the evil places of the world.. maybe some volcanoes and such.

as for oceans and shores... i have been using an ocean color behind the tiles for oceans and the edges of the tiles for shores (shores would be tricky) so they probably wont be the first things i work on.

I also use the draw tools to draw in roads and cities (circles)... but i know some people like tiles for such things so i may work on those after the basic land types are done.

Gorgeous tiles. If you are still taking suggestions:

Rice fields, corn fields, crop fields
Jungles, dead forests, bone yards, graveyards
battlefield
mines
city, town, hamlet markers

(For me this is all for an "overworld" map that the players can reference when not in combat)

Also good suggestions!

I seriously was considering doing farmlands for my own maps so i'll probably make some of those soon.

I'll do some evil/creepy/dead/wasteland tiles soon as well

Mines and volcanoes would also be useful.
