Call for Developers

Post by RPTroll »

Hey all, we're in need of a few developers to knock out some feature requests for MapTool 1.4. RPTools software is all open source and relies on the contributions of its community members to make improvements and enhancements to the software. You're a perfect fit if you Java, Gradle and Git. All skill levels can help since some of the requested features are fairly easy to implement. Others require a good bit of thought and input. You can find a list of features on the assignment list spreadsheet in google docs.

Let us know if you can help and we'll guide you through the setup process.

Cheers,
Your Ever Lovin' Troll

As part of gearing up to work on 1.4.1 do you think we could have a bit of a clean up in the forum? Perhaps we could have a sub-forum for closed or completed items?

Happy to do some of this work if people want to trust me with forum privileges :D

Are we going to have a review for the next build? I quite like the idea of doing little development sprints.

Craig has made some of the libraries available now, so we can attempt some things that previously were on hold.

We should. I have an action item to move things over to Git Hub for issue tracking. Community discussion would still happen here but we'd track issues and enhancements over in GitHub.

Anyone have issues with that?
