Fog of war question
When I have a token set to snap to grid, when I move it, it auto-reveals as it should. When I uncheck snap to grid, it does not (but if I <Ctrl><I>, it reveals what the token can see, but Reveal Last Path does nothing. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a known bug?
Re: Fog of war question
This should work. I just tested this on a blank map and duplicated the issue. This is definitely a bug.

It didn't seem like it was intentional.aliasmask wrote:This should work.
I'm amazed that I'm apparently the only person who prefers to keep snap to grid off that's ever tried using auto-reveal. Sigh.aliasmask wrote:I just tested this on a blank map and duplicated the issue. This is definitely a bug.
Re: Fog of war question
As far as I know, auto-reveal with snap-to-grid turned off has never worked. At least, not since I started using Maptool which is only from 1.3b70
Re: Fog of war question
Additional data point:
In the .maptool folder, log.txt includes the following:
"2016-03-13 22:35:44,921 [zone.FogUtil:254] WARN - Exposing a token's path is not supported for non-SnapToGrid tokens and maps"
So I guess this has been this way for some time.

Re: Fog of war question
I guess I never ran across this because I do my exposure through a macro and onTokenMove. Same goes for Bag of Tricks.

Re: Fog of war question
Interesting. It works ok in my Nerps 1.3b89q build...
I think it was something Lee fixed back in the day. He had several patches around Pathing & FoW. I grabbed and added them all.
Needless to say, I'm hip deep in the FoW code this week...I'll keep an eye on this. Maybe with Craig's help, we can get a beta build out. (I need a source reformatting to do a diff and sync up)
