Can someone walk me through this...?

Okay. I used to use MapTool a while ago, before this "web launch" thing went down. Now I download version 1.4 and I can't even find a way to launch the darn thing. I'm incredibly frustrated... So can someone walk me through the process of opening MapTool, from clicking the download link to save the zip to actually having it open on your computer?

Thank you, but, I don't really understand that post... And it just says to "run the launcher" which I can't find anywhere.

I'm looking in the folder I extracted Maptool v1.4 into, and I don't see anything I can run. The launcher in the "Legacy" folder doesn't do anything... The README is a .pod file I can't open...

I have downloaded and extracted the file, what do I do next, in plain speech?

If you are looking to play around, try the Dev version (1.4.1.x), it makes launching MT even easier! :)

The download is a zip file. You need to unzip it. The extracted files will have a file named "launcher". It has the .jar extension. If you have java installed you can double mouse click the launcher file to start the program.
