Possible Bug - Always visible and figure tokens

I'm in 1.4.1.7.

I noticed that if I set a figure token to "Always visible", it doesn't work properly. On a top down token, this works fine, so not sure why it would matter on a Figure token on the background layer; doesn't the "Always visible" just make them render AFTER VBL is calculated?

Also, if you use the "generate VBL" on the token itself, it appears to be offset quite a bit on a figure token. Could the two issues be related?

Yea, token vbl and figures may not be 100% compatible. It really add to the complexity of the translations needed.

Could be a while before I can get to it.

Figure tokens also have a special drawing pass to handle the z order so lower y axis tokens draw over higher tokens? Again, a little complexity added with regards to always visible...

Okay, glad I wasn't just going crazy.

Hehe, there goes my room with stalagmites coming out of the floor that players could move around but would block vision! Bummer! :)

You could try the old school method maybe? Draw an isometric X at the base of the stalagmite within the grid, and try transferring that to the token via macro? it would only block "part" of the image but block LOS normally?

*not tested, just an idea

Jamz, was wondering if the VBL/Figure token issue that I reported here was ever cleared up? I'm finally in 1.5.10 and it seems to still be an issue, even if you try the VBL transfered to the token. In fact, when you do that, you can see that it clearly doesn't transfer to the right place on a Figure token.
