Can't Find main class error.

Post by Sir Flak »

I get the can't find main class error and it jsut quits when i run double click the jar from the zip. All the 1.1 zip versions do this (also all the charactertool zips).

I figured it out.

I didn't have java 6 installed.

I had removed it because it was preventing dundjinni from functioning correctly.

I reinstalled it and inittool works again. Weird thing is i tried out dundjinni and it works fine still too. The crazy Java gods scorn me.

You will have problems with DJ if you have Java 6 installed. A DJ patch that will be compatible with Java 6 is being beta tested right now, though.

It depends on how DJ's startup stuff is defined. I know that in webstart you can pick a Java version. Don't think you can do that directly from the jar file though.

yeah apparently lots of people had similar issues as me with DJ and java 6 on their forums (rendering problems, can't see my objects to stamp, etc) I hope the patch comes out soon.
