It is clear I'm not making new questions but here I go:

I want to run this excellent app (InitTool) for my GURPS games. Are there any way to start customizing the "D&D ruleset" contained in the app by default?

I'm not sure if this is possible at the current stage of the development.

The 1.1 version can probably do the work needed to run your initiative. It doesn't do the index cards/forms as well as needed to be able to do everything you might need. I've not played GURPS so I can't give you too much help with designing your system, but I will be glad to help you where I can.

Thanks Jay... First of all I would need to read and understand the instructions for customizing InitiativeTool, and that isn't easy for me, right now.

It's not very easy to do yet, the editor with IT only handles some of the functionality and not all of it. There isn't any documentation to read yet either. I've been talking with two of the other users and helping them make their own game settings files. I need to post those as the beginning of some documentation.

Gurps is a relatively popular system so I wonder if they have anything like a free test drive document or set of rules. Would you know where I might get something like that? That is how I created the default game settings file for Savage Worlds and Hero. I would do the same for Gurps if something like that is available.

Jay, you can get GURPS Lite for free here: http://e23.sjgames.com/item.html?id=SJG31-0004
I think that should cover most of the basics.

Thanks! I'll take a look and see what I can do for it.

Thanks. I'll probably need it. I'm going on a long car ride this weekend, maybe I can read it then.

I have a question for you: Is there a good, generic, character sheet available that a majority of the players use?

We are a couple of GURPSists around - I'll be glad to help in the ways I can :)

My guess would generally be "no" ... but I do think that most character sheets use the same elements. Most will follow the structure in this one:

Gurps Char. Sheet

Post by Voodoo-fire »

The sheet Wrathchild posted is the basic sheet. It is the one that GURPS Character Assistant outputs in the default mode and I don't really very from it at all...It is what i use for my NPC and players..

New here just downloaded today. I'd like to cast my vote for Initiative Tool for GURPS as well. I will be willing to help however I can.

I'm very interested in the Index Card. This would be a large asset to me.

I've read the GURPS light rules so I'll probably start work on this soon.
