So, Arrow doesn't have much in the way of infiltration skills at the moment. Currently saving up karma so I can initiate and learn masking. And even though he has a crap ton of cash he can't wear full body armor of any kind without incuring massive penalties, so I don't have much in the way of cloaking or chem seal stuff. There are spells that can deal with that, but they take karma so I'm not sure if I'll be able to pick any up before the run. We will see.

I learned something about armor last session, hadn't seen the restriction on armor depending on Body stat before. Will have to purchase alternate armor for the raid. There is an armor in the base book with the cloaking technology and a lower Body requirement to use.

I understand that you are saving karma for initiation. Fully expect to earn more than the 5 Karma that you need to get there before we go in. Feel that infiltration even at level 1 will be a very needed skill before we go in. Thanks.

"Ok...I have no idea why you want all that heavy hardware. If it comes to a shootout to get in, we're hosed and have 0 chance of survival, let alone getting the job done. And blowing up the mountain is the epitome of stupid. The bigger 'boom' we make on a job, the more likely the corp will try and take us out as retribution. And be realistic, if the corp really wants you taken out, then you will be taken out or on the run for the rest of your life. If we do this, we need to be sneaking in. Whether we're BSing out way through the gate or crawling up a drain; it's the only realistic option we have."

"The mark of a skilled runner is to do the job and still get hired afterwards by the corp you just hit. You need to balance your attack with their retribution. Killing guards...eh, you try not to but it happens. Blowing up or destroying a billion dollar facility? It's over. So the jobs you pull need to balance those two things..." *shrug* "For the record, you plan on going the violent or 'boom' route, I'm staying outside and away from the place. I won't go in. I'll support as best I can but I don't do suicide missions." *shrug*

"As for the bound spirits, a big sucker (ie 6) is the best you're going to get. And at most, 2...though technically I suppose I could bind them and then transfer their 'ownership' to Arrow and then summon some more for myself. Either way, even a 6 is a tough bind to pull off, let alone do it well. I'm decent at it, but the bigger the spirit, the harder it is. Not to mention, this isn't cheap. I'll do it, but someone else will be fronting the cash for me giving away a spirit."

"As for an emergency exit...I might have an idea. Depends if I get to initiate or not before the job and then bind a specific spirit. Risky though. We'd still have to fight any spirits they have...but at least we'd be able to avoid the hordes of guards. There is a way for us to physically enter the astral and then exit. Downside: if I die once we go in astral, you're all screwed and stuck there (barring a suicide run to exit a 'rift' somewhere)."

"Things I want for the "big" job:

1) Their 'new employee' orientation packet. (Should be easy to get too.) The facility is large enough that it will likely have one. We have a rough idea of the floorplan from the seismic sensors...but it doesn't tell us what's there. The packet, which they'd want all their employees to know/have would include a lot of details we'd find helpful. What each area is. Where the 'shelters' are. What areas are 'restricted', what areas are 'labs'? Stuff like that.

2) Their trash/ laundry/ food/ sundry schedule. How often is it delivered? By who? Vehicles and staff that do so? Outside corp or in house? If in house, where do they go to get it? How long do they take to load/unload/stay before leaving?

3) We do a observation/watch on the place, getting pictures of the faces of everyone we can. See if any of them live outside the facility. If so, we visit them, do a brain drain and then wipe the memory that it ever happened.

4) _WHERE_ is the Johnson in this facility? What is his schedule? We can't get him out if we don't know where he is and when he'll be there.

Think that should do for now. It'll let me, us, do some better planning and see what weaknesses we can find to get through and get back out.

Oh, I kinda put a few pieces together the other day from some snooping I was doing. This sucker is built on that wicked node. And from what little I could determine with the Hacker's help, the power supply of the base is smaller than their requirements (a guess but an educated one). I _think_ they are working on/figured out how to convert magical energy into real energy like electricity. It might be theoretically possible from what I know, but no one has done it before. It's all conjecture, but it stands up, as scary as this sounds."

As much as I like Ares, I am thinking that we should leave "evidence" behind that they did the hit. As much as I like the Prof., there is no way in heck that i) I am letting EVO know I did the hit on EVO and ii) Bourne is letting him hang back and not enter the facility with the team.

I will try to summarize what we know of the facility over the weekend. But it includes: 1) Tuesday deliveries from a Chinatown warehouse; 2) Deliveries include dead metahuman bodies filled with preservatives, sim chips and weapons; 3) 1 main entrance and 1 Bulkhead back door; 4) Mr. Johnson has no clue about the layout of the facility; 5) Mr. Johnson has an exit plan which he hasn't shared with us for after leaving the facility; 6) the ST has hinted that the exit plan includes Twin Lakes, Colorado; 7) Machine gun pits and camo tarp was visible from the site tour; we haven't analyzed the long-term passive drone intel; 9) MOre to come...

Who the hell said anything about 'letting them know' anything? I just said being able to be hired by them when it's over. There's a world of difference between the two. If they never know it was us, which implies a level of skill and subtlety that doesn't involve doing things that make them look for us.

The discussion has raised an interesting issue: What is the escape plan? Is it a big explosion?, big spell?, drones set to shoot anything they can see once we are past?, Air Evacuation?, Other?

As for tonight, we will keep discussing the plan for EVO but I see two parts for the game session: 1) Recon of the delivery to the facility, and 2) Download the PCC ID software and find a box.

In regards to number 1), I suggest relays to follow with John, Art, Arrow being the natural team members but others are welcome.

In regards to number 2), we need some hacking advice and further planning.

Art was in a good mood for a man who had to spend the next day motorbiking in the mountains on a recon job. He was dining with one of his contacts, Elizabeth Cheung, a corporate "assistant" from downtown Denver.

Elizabeth worked for one of the big Corporations and acted as a conduit for Art to her bosses in the Corporation. [***Note for ST: We never discussed the Corporation, shoot me a PM or note or post which one you prefer...] And she was pretty good looking and seemed to appreciate Art's company to boot...

Art has so far successful steered the conversation through two paths; the first was that Art had been less busy with "work" due to music gigs and the second was that he was looking for "work"...

Dinner was wrapping up with desert and Art had planned a carraige ride during which he knew Elizabeth would let him know what she knew and can tell him and whether he should tip the carraige driver for another trip around the sites...

The ST was stuck at work and was unable to get home until very late EST. I ran a pick up game in Seattle with Aku the explosive Elf B&E expert and Feantari the Troll Face. They were hired by their fixer, Mr. Simmons, for an escort mission of a corporate Johnson out on the town.

Due to some luck, bad luck and even worse luck at times, the night ended with the Johnson in a hotel room with a female ork, Feanteri in a hotel room with a female ork and Aku splattered against the exterior wall of the hotel.

The night included "troll night" at an Ork Bar that never really got started, Feantari and an Ork female in a cage match against 6 other "contestants" featuring significant bloodshed, an Elf biker gang, explosions, Ork gangs, Ork females, Dwarf Security guards and even more explosions. Oh and they didn't make it to the Dwarf Lesbian bar.

3 karma to Feantari and an extra 2250 nuyen from the Johnson as I assumed you convinced him you would pay your buddy. Aku gets no karma and no money as he chunky salsaed his character.

(Feantari), also it's a chick name so totally not the name for that dude... I guess I have to think of one now... Names are hard

Have to ask is the reason Aku's corpse was pasted onto the hotels walls because he blew himself up? Or did it just deal with the old joke that starts with an elf walks into a orc bar......


Well it is a troll face, so you have to come up with something approprate if you are changing it. Myself I wouldn't really have a choice and would have to go with Wishnik, Gonk, or Norfin http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_doll .

Excepting that it's actually derived from Quenya.. technically it's Fëantari, but that is annoying for most people. 's something I put together way back when for a D&D game I think... anyway, -tari is a feminine ending, wheither used in it's formal meaning or the more Sindaran interpretation

Timeline update: Monday going into Tuesday which is EVO Node site delivery day. Team contemplating adding drones with passive sensors and recording to delivery vehicle before it leaves. Team planning on doing EVO recon tuesday and then back to the Forger mission on Wednesday.

BTW I have made up my replacement character and am tweaking it for the Astral, Inc. concept. I have not made up the 7 dwarfs character yet...
