The enworld link times out for me. Is it still valid?
I think a site to find players is always helpful. It may take a while for people to actually use it. Every little bit helps to get people using map tools!
Edit - here is the WoTc Online site: http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=598

There also is RPG Registry (http://www.rpgregistry.com/), but the format they use make it hard to understand how up to date it is...
and if i may offer there is this site as well that has a dedicated area of the forum for PbP and looking for players it might be good exposer for the map tool

may i suggest http://www.penandpapergames.com ? recently voted number one (by a narrow margin) game and player finder by rpgx.org... read the article here. has a very nice geo-location feature that enables everyone to see where all the gamers (in the database) are within up to a hundred mile radius. (hint: don't put your actual addy, but nearby intersection in town!) campaigns are searchable too, plus many online tabletop options exist.
also I would like to suggest my favorite site: http://mydndgame.com/ It is a very active community that features PBP games, a online database for each member to be able to create thier own campaigns complete with individual wiki's, blogs, forums. An online interactive character sheet database with sheets for a ton of systems.
