NOTE: Date, Time, and Medium are changing.

Joining information:
Map Tools game name = "Simple System - Open Join/Drop"
TeamSpeak 3. Information provided when joining the maptool game.
Character Creation is done by choosing Race, Class, and 2 Skill sets.
You can make the character during the game. It's very quick. New players welcome.

I run a casual homebrew system called Simple System. The game is made to be easy to setup new characters and for fast to play.

I've set up a wiki site for the System rules here:
http://tabletop.zeliepa.com/bin/view/Main/SimpleSystem

It's designed to be very easy for new players to dive in. Also the combat rules get the strategy minded people engaged. The remaining loose rules give the veteran people who focus on role playing a lot of space.

I always run open enrollments and will adapt the game for the number of players. I do this to allow players, who want to just test the system, the ability to drop out at any time. Also it lets me start with a small group and pick up more as time goes on.

I don't have any set time to play yet. It will probably be every 2 weeks on Saturday nights (EDT/EST). Just look for the "Simple System - Open Join/Drop" game heading if you want to play.

*UPDATE*

-------------
The campaign that I'm running is called The Purging Of The Orcs

The history can be found here:
http://tabletop.zeliepa.com/bin/view/Ma ... emOrcPurge

-------------

Here is a list of questions and answers from The Tangled Web that I thought was very informative.

1. What game system are you running and if applicable what edition?
I use my own home brew system called Simple System

2. What 'type' or variant of game will it be ? What is the setting for the game?
Generic fantasy world.

3. How many Players are you looking for?
2-6. Currently have 2

4. What's the gaming medium?
Map Tool 1.3.b86

5. What is the characters' starting status?
Level1

6. How much gold or other starting funds will the characters begin with?
Standard equipment already listed in rules.

7. Are there any particular character classes, professions, orders, etc. that you want... or do not want?
No restrictions

8. What races, subraces, species, etc. are allowed for your game?
Any listed.

9. By what method should Players generate their attributes/ability scores and Hit Points?
Character creation page. Pick race, add class bonuses, then pick skills. Very quick!

10. Does your game use alignment? What are your restrictions, if so?
Not really. Players can play however they wish.

11. Do you allow multi-classing, or have any particular rules in regards to it?
Not really. Common Multi-classes are already included and further decided by skill picking.

12. Will you be doing all of the die rolling during the course of the game?
No. It helps move things along, and let players get used to their character if they handle their own rolls.

13. Are there any homebrewed or optional/variant rules that your Players should know about?
The system is all homebrew. I'll be using the rule set as is. I go easy on level 1 players, so expect to have the simplified turn order and expect to get a re-roll or two if I feel you've had a bad streak of luck.

14. Is a character background required? If so, how big? Are you looking for anything in particular?
As much as the player wants. The background does not affect the character sheet and vice verse.

15. Does your game involve a lot of hack & slash, puzzle solving, roleplaying, or a combination of the above?
Combination, depending on characters. I personally enjoy hack&slash must, but a lot of problem solving and role playing is used as well.

16. Are your Players restricted to particular rulebooks and supplements?
The rule set is expandable. New races and classes are allowed to be added, but need to be discussed before the day we play.

It's just easy addition. For example a Human:
"STR 2, DEX 2, AGL 2, INT 2, WIS 2, CON 5, Luck 1, Movement 5"
Cleric:
"Clerics start with 1 additional int and 1 additional con"

Calculates to.
STR 2, DEX 2, AGL 2, INT 3, WIS 2, CON 6, Luck 1, Movement 5

I felt the best way to convey it was to word it into the class descriptions by saying "additional." If you see a way to improve the wording let me know and I'll update it.

:)

Thanks for taking a look.

**EDIT**

I've added a description to the top of the Race and Class list pages. I'll review it again tomorrow to make sure it's worded well. Kinda tired today after traveling.

I would certainly be glad to have you aboard. It would probably be Saturday after 8:30pm Eastern (GMT-5). I can do Saturdays noon-3 Eastern as well if that's better for anyone.

If we get 1 more player I'll nail down a start date. Once I get going, I can keep consistent with the open enrollment games at those times, in case anyone wants to join later.

I only have a tiny bit of set up left. Just have to gather monster images. In fact I should just pre-make a bunch of monster tokens.

cool- both those time frames work, altho I like the 12-3 slot. I was in a game during that time and it worked out great. I'll post on my multi- game guild site to see if any1 wants to try too.

Thanks for helping so much throm.

It looks like we got some players to start off with.

I was hoping to get it going this weekend. I've got my token images set up, so I'm ready to pop the game up whenever.

Updates -

Looks like we got a solid start date this Saturday 7/16 at 8:30pm Eastern (EDT). Maptool for game board and TeamSpeak or skype for voice.

I'll know for certain if this will be weekly or fortnightly after the first session. It will remain open enrollment unless there are too many players (which is a good problem to have).

It seems that next week would work better for 1 member of the TG crew, but I can still help test it out and 11pm cutoff is fine.. I get kinda burned out after 3 hrs.. guess we'll see who shows up.. and I always use push to talk on ts3.

Throm and I were able to run some tests this past Saturday to make sure everything is all set up. We're shooting to start the campaign next Saturday.

I -may- have another player joining in depending on his schedule this week.

Any new players can be assured that I'll help out with character creation, and that it's quick enough to put characters together during play.

We're using teamspeak 3 and maptool version 1.3.b86. Anyone interested in playing can get the connection info via PM or from the in-game chat.

I've updated the original post with the campaign information and a useful Q/A section that I got from The Tangled Web.

We weren't able to get started with the campaign this past weekend so I'm looking to try again this coming Saturday.

I have a new player that would like to join in this coming Saturday (7/30).
