New Art Pack! Encounter Maps by Bogie!

Post by dorpond »

Three Cheers for Bogie! *Crowd Roars*

Bogie has offered yet another pack of maps to our community! This time he made us some generic encounter maps, for those situations where the dice decide the fate of party. All GM's should keep maps like these in their tool box; you never know what way a game is going to turn when the players get their hands on it. :)
How to Download Art Pack
You can get his tile pack by simply by opening Maptool and going to:
File -> Add to Resource Library, and click on the red gear. You will see his pack in the list.
Here is one of the maps:

Maptool Bugs
Couple things worth mentioning:
1. Unfortunately there was a bug in Maptool 1.3B86 that prevents you from downloading art packs – Booo! :P
2. 1.3B87 (the latest version of Maptool) allows you to get art packs just fine, however, the license file will not appear during installation. I will supply that below. This will be fixed in Maptool 1.3B88.
3. Maptool 1.3b60 through 1.3B84 works fine when it comes to downloading and installing Art Packs. B85 works but doesn't show the license.

Thank you again, Bogie! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Agreed! I particularly like the bridge scenes. Ambushes are just so tasty around chokepoints, don't you think? ;)

These couldn't have come at a better time; especially the bridge encounters and the winter tree encounters. Incredibly well done, thanks for another great map set Bogie =)

These are not only pretty, they're nicely generic yet with enough detail. Great job, thanks!

OH YES !! and having weak bridge planks with nasties in the water works well too....<evil grin from the dm>

I for one love making maps for encounters and such, even though its usually time consuming because what i for one create. And sometimes I just dont have time out of real life to sit down,so I do appreciate those that contribute such things.I hope to contribute maps of my own later to the community especially being that this is basically a free tool for people to use.Sort of my part of just saying "thank you" to those that have made it what it is and continue to do so.....

Thanks everyone, glad you like them and are already using them.

Yes you may have seen these before. Some are new some are old, all are at DundJinni Forums, some are on RPGMapshare, and some have been posted around different forums on the internet. It's a little odd going to a site I've never been to before and finding my maps there already. Cool, but weird.

Nice work Bogie! Saves me time AND they are better than anything I could come up with.

Thank you very much.

@ neofax: The closest thing I have to a desert encounter map is this Mayan style pyramid.
It was a quick attempt to make a pyramid for a game, so there are a few minor defects, but nothing that matters.
Hope it helps.

What defects? Better than what I could do. Also, I was told at a young age beggars can't be choosers. I really appreciate you going out of your way for me, it speaks volumes!
