Oi,

Good to know fellas....thank you for the prompt responces!
Only Fhionn left to go but its looking like a tuesday game from what I can see so far.
One small detail the thread has yet to mention but came up in Fhionn's build submission.
I mentioned "limited cinamatic advantages" but had never clearly defined what that meant. It means a 30 point cap on cinamatic advantages (i.e. Trained by Master, Luck, Daredevil, Serendipity, Gunslinger and anything Wildcard). This does not mean that they won't accrue through play!

As best as I can figure, this is where we stand.
I have yet to hear back from Fhionn on his best available days and it appears as though he will go for a sebacean gunfighter-like design but had some cinamatic advantage "issues" to sort out with his build.
GrenDrake seems to be gravitating towards a Luxan Warrior build and Satheyo is still undecided as of now. Lots of time left for submissions and corrections.
With 2/3rd's of the players seem to prefer an early week game but Fhionn has yet to weigh in and we don't know if we have a fourth player yet. I, on the otherhand, have no preference at all.
Just thought I would keep y'all up to date.
The only silly question is an unasked one.
Send me an invite on skype Fhionn and we will get you sorted out.
I will be lurking between now and then.

Happy Hangover,

I was putting the final touches on the game a few nights ago when it occurs to me to add a few "side quests". So, I put my melon to work and added a few more "wrinkles" for the players to "trigger" in their upcoming sojourn and now that they are almost done....it dons upon me that all the material I have added sorta turns this "medium plus-sized" one shot into an "Adventure with a Sequel chaser".
A final reminder to the players (although purely optional) to include a background story with their character submission....make it as long or as short as you wish. As the narrative develops, I usually always find a way to include these stories in the adventures resolution. I say "usually" because sometimes the backgrounds were SOOO good that not everyone had their background story come into play within the span of a single adventure. If you submit it....something from it WILL be used....eventually. If you don't....you'll just become embroiled in someone ELSES background "quest", so it all works out!
I shall be lurking....somehwere.

Hello,

No word from the third applicant since first responce.
I must assume they have bailed.
This means we still need one more player to have a 3/4 start.
So far we have GrenDrake and Satheyo....If one more joins (again) we could start the game shortly after all the players character submissions are recieved.
No other news for now.

Good to know....thanks for the update.
So far, this is where we currently stand:
We have 2 out of 4 players present....(GrenDrake and Satheyo)....1 more player means the game can be started.
Player Cast consists of:

- A Luxan Warrior by the name of Shan'ska. (Token representation; one of Jothee's commandos)
- A Vocarian (whom I assume is also a Warrior). (Token representation; Rorg)

NPC Cast consists of:
- Sebacean Ex-Peacekeeper by the name of Elden. (Token representation; Jason Statham)
- Sebacean Pirate by the name of San-San. (Token representation; Christina Cox)
- Scarren Warrior by the name of Azanth. (Token representation; a Scarren Elite Guard)
- Sebacean Offshoot Doctor by the name of Maladi (Token representation; Deliah Blue)
- Real Human Astronaut by the name of Cray (Token representation; Lisa Rinna)
- Fake Human Astronaut by the name of Backer (Token representation; Joe Rogan from Talking Monkeys in Space)

It appears as though our best time to hold the game will be either Monday or Tuesday with current preference leaning towards Monday but a third player added to the dynamic may change this so its too early to say for certain.
So far, we are looking good and with the addition of a third player, we can actually set a start date.
I will keep y'all updated as things progress.
The submissions I see so far are fine....can't wait to see the final versions "in action"!
I shall be lurking like a shadow.

Hello,

Unfortunately, after JUST restoring Windows (which corrupted, resulting in considerable data loss) I have been informed that GrenDrake has withdrawn from the game.
This leaves the game with only one player....so, the chances are this thread will also meet with an early demise.
I have not abandoned all hope but I will completely understand if you also decide to bail on me as well Satheyo.
I wish the prognosis was brighter but its looking pretty grim at present.
Skype and my e-mail have both been lost so, should the remaining player wish to contact me....this should be rectified by tomorrow.
I shall resume lurking.

I've been lurking here ever since your first post debating on joining or not. My Gurps-fu is a bit rusty but it's a good system for space opera campaigns as long as no one goes nuts with power. I'm running a 3.5 game and have been putting most of my time in to that, but things are starting to settle in so I feel I may be able to hop on to another game. My schedule is wide open, except for Sundays.

I was thinking a Kalish rebel who's smart and agile (expensive) and we'll see how many points she has left for any other nifty tricks. I would like to toss in some bioloid tech (nothing as fancy as blowing myself up and reattaching limbs) but designed for a purpose to kill scarran, if I can afford to go that path. I'm thinking genetic, uncontrolled dna virus with a long (1 day?) time to show signs of infection. I think the effect wouldn't be deadly, but just weaken them like Sikosu did with her power and it would have lasting affects (maybe given them a disad?). She would outwardly adore and worship scarran, but only to get close to them. Of course, this is all just brainstorming and the final result may vary.

I noticed the Kalish are not in the D20 system of races and if you have any input on making a package for the race I would be interested in seeing it. They're sebacean at their core, so probably on the same scale of peacekeeper but with a different focus towards intellect. Their biology also gives them some unique cat-like abilities and a chemical disad. I was also thinking maybe a basic bioloid package too for the funky eye and perhaps a "can not use translator microbes". (so they'll have to pay for their languages) Again, just brainstorming.

On a different note, I recently discovered Epic Words which seems to be a great place to consolidate game info and characters for free (you can friend me as aliasmask). It has a lot of nice tools and the guy who runs it does a pretty good job of adding/updating features. You can also pay 12 bucks a year for some file storage (I would just do it to support the site) and a couple of other minor features. But you can also use sugarsync (5gb+) and dropbox (2gb+) for online syncing and storage of data to your computer and other devices. Clicking the link will give you and me some extra storage. This is also good for creating "repositories" for MapTool campaigns.

That's great news.
Until a third player joins I can't say for certain on the game day but it looks as if it might still be on a monday or tuesday.
I will open up maptools tonight and see what I had marked under the only Kalish I created for the game. Mind you she was only stripper and didn't have Sikozu's "full monty" of skills (which I am certain would run over 500 points anyways). With a 300 point budget for Farscape denizens, I don't feel you can get too crazy with advantages even if you wanted to. I think the concept you have thus far is "tres kewl" and I am looking forward to seeing what the final design can do.
(Azanth better be on his best behavior around you!)
I will be sure to post what I have on the Kalish for you to reference. Expect to see it up here by tomorrow latest.
Glad to see this thread still has some life left in it!
If one more player joins, we can consider finalizing the details but there is room for at least two more should someone feel so inclined.

As promised, this is what I have listed for Kalish....

Attributes:
IQ+1 [20]

Advantages:
- Longevity [2]
- Reduced Consumption 4 (Eats 10 times a cycle or every 36 Terran solar days. Proportionally eats more than a Hynerian. Includes Quirk: Elevated body temperature after feeding.) [7]
- Regrowth/Regeneration (Treated as "Slow". Example: A Kalish with 10 HP takes a 6 point arm wound that effectively severs the limb after a failed HT check. With recovery set at 1 HP every 12 hours, this means for 3 days the limb will be impaired but usable at the standard wound penalties for normal recovery) [25]
- Clinging (Shifting Gravity Centre....walking only. Does not work if in mid-fall. Takes one turn of preparation.) [18]

Bioloid Only:

Advantages:
- Injury Tolerance (No Blood)[5] (It's possible this was not a Kalish trait but is instead a "censorship issue")
- Innate Attack 12 (6d6x2 Rads)(Toxic/Radiation. Takes 5 turns to build up the burst. Only effects Scarrens. Costs 1 Fatigue. Aura effect, 20 yards. Linked Malediction effect....causes blindness to any species that observes the radiation burst. Linked Flight effect....Low Ceiling, 10'....Lighter than Air. Add to this, the Scarrens innate vunerablity to this spectrum of radiation and its "Good Night Godzilla") [Sorry, I haven't worked out the cost per level yet but the full ability is a pretty pricey power!]
- Language Talent [2]

Disadvantages:
- Weakness: Radiation (Rare, x3 wound modifier. Triples rad exposure)(Quote from Wikia: "Kalish are especially susceptible to radiation; short exposure will destroy three of their internal organs." It did not specify whether this trait is unique to bioloids or the species in general so I made it a Bioloid-Only feature to offset their Anti-Scarren ability. Although the disadvantage states that no one can have vunerablility to something they have a specific defence against, the genetically engineered nature of Bioloids makes them immune ONLY to the spectrum THEY emit.) [-15]
- Secret (Bioloid. Imprisonment) [-20]
- Sence of Duty (To all Kalish) [-15]
- Quirk: Distinctive Feature (Bioloid Identification. One eyeball rotates to display their true nature) [-1]
- Quirk: Translator Microbes are incompatible with Bioloid physiology [-1]

Most Kalish are VERY well educated....but for the purposes of this game, THAT is merely "cosmetic" as there is NO limitations on how many points may be spent on skills in this game. Normally, I restrict players to a limit of two times the characters actual age....a typical Kalish would be able to spend up to three times their age for skills. For the purpose of character creation, THAT rule is no longer in effect.
If you are able to design an identical concept for less points, I shall remain open to player interpretation.

Greetings,

I wish it were under better circumstances that I post today.
My recent Windows reparation has resulted in my Maptools campaign files becoming corrupted. Now the only thing that happens is I keep getting "Access Denied". 4 monthes of work sent straight down the crapper. Sincerest appologies to Satheyo and AliasMask for the waste of time. I have tried everything but seem to keep hitting a brick wall.
This brings the thread to a screeching halt and effectively terminates the game.
(F@#$&*g Windows, piece of crap!!!)
I may be able to have something else ready eventually but it will take monthes of work to even get close to a game start.
I'm sorry fellas.
I can still be reached through PM but I guess you'd better start looking for a new game guys as it will take me quite some time till I have another thread up.
