New Art Packs by Wyrframe!

Post by dorpond »

Attention! Attention! We have new art pack(s)! Woohoo!

Wyrframe's Shady Halls 6x6 - Grid200
Wyrframe's Shady Halls 6x6 - Grid100
Wyrframe's Shady Halls 6x6 - Grid50
Wyrframe's Shady Walls 5x5 - Grid100

This artpack comes to you from Wyrframe (Wolph42 also helped - see licenses for more)!
Thank you very much, Wyrframe, and a job well done! I am sure these will help many dungeon builders for years to come!!

"A tileset of just walls; use your own textures and props to create whatever background you want, and then lay these transparent 500x500 px PNGs overtop, creating complex, shaded dungeons, buildings, and caverns! Each tile can be rotated or flipped and still line up with few to no visible artifacts. Use any repeating texture underneath!"

You can read his original release located here:
http://forums.rptools.net/viewtopic.php ... 81&start=0

Let us all thank Wyrframe for this contribution!

Side note from Wolph42:
The DungeonBuilder 2 contains the VBL data for the 6x6 tilesets. These are also fully compatible with the DB2. So IF you decide to use these tiles, then you can make use of the DB2 to automatically apply all the VBL.
This feature however works only with b90+, which at the moment is not officially released yet. A 'beta' version can be downloaded from here: maptool-1.3.b90-beta.zip. Note that although its a beta version its more stable then b89 !.

How to Download Art Packs
You can get the art pack by simply by opening Maptool and going to:
File -> Add to Resource Library, and click on the red gear. You will see it in the list.
Maptool Bugs
Couple things worth mentioning:
1. Unfortunately there was a bug in Maptool 1.3B86 that prevents you from downloading art packs – Booo! :P
2. 1.3B87 allows you to get art packs just fine, however, the license file will not appear during installation. I will supply that below. This will be fixed in Maptool 1.3B88.
3. Maptool 1.3b60 through 1.3B84 works fine when it comes to downloading and installing Art Packs. B85 works but doesn't show the license.
License Information 1

Just so everyone knows: the dungeonbuilder 2 contains the VBL data for the 6x6 tilesets. these are also fully compatible with the DB2. So IF you decide to use these tiles, then you can make use of the DB2 to automatically apply all the VBL.

Hello Dorpond,

Is there a MAC OS version of B90+. I'm working with BoT v32c and have at least one player on MAC. I can't find a MAC version with a search here. Thanks.
