MapTools Fork List
I thought it would be handy to list the various forks of MapTools and for anyone like me who wants to go looking for them. Any that I've missed?

I had a devil of a time finding b90. I eventually found a link on another site that pointed back to the links below below. These are outdated, but are listed here reference. The download above, supplied by wolph42 is the one you should use.

Re: MapTools Fork List
you can best point to the launcher link in my sig for b90. It also contains a fix for json.sort

Re: MapTools Fork List
Does the version of b90 in that post of yours, wolph, supersede the one from Azhrei's original thread?

Re: MapTools Fork List
I have a minor one as well. It's generally the patches for next release but I've added a few thing to it when I get the time. I try to keep it as close/compatible with core releases I can.
Link to the fork + info in my sig.

Good idea MeMeMe. Thanks for that.
Re: MapTools Fork List
You b90 list is confusing and I wasn't quite clear:
The link to the launcher post (last entry in your list) contains a b90 zip that
+ is the same as the one you point to the dropbox of Azh (so you can remove that)
+ contains the latest launcher (so you can remove that link as well)
+ is the only one that contains a bug fix (in the form of a drop-in .rptok file) for the json.sort() bug.
So that link does not only point to the latest launcher but also to the latest and most comprehensive MT b90 zip. I would suggest you remove the rest as its confusing and you're pointing people in the wrong direction.

Re: MapTools Fork List
Hi wolph. Yes, what you say makes sense and is what I intended.
I had planned to check each one out to see the differences when I got the time, and just left the links there for my own reference till I figured which one to keep.
Thanks, Jamz, I've added your fork to the OP as well. I'm glad people are finding this thread useful.

Re: MapTools Fork List
I added Clyde's launcher to the b90 section above, since the memory defaults it set fixed a problem I was having. For non-technical and first-time users, it's better than the other launcher.

Re: MapTools Fork List
Seriously, why all the forks.
Should help out with the project not fork it into oblivion.

Re: MapTools Fork List
All these forks were created because maptools development had stalled, and as I understand it, no-one who was active had access to the website to update the official forks.
Things have moved on since then, so these forks are going to get increasingly outdated. But since Mote is finally out in public beta, I'll add the download link to the list.

Seriously, read the last 3-4 years of posts, THEN feel free to give judgmental posts. Nothing like the new guy coming in and telling you how you've been doing things wrong for the last 5 years....

At the same time I offer the unique perspective of being the new guy.
