 Post subject: Feature Request: Grid padding
PostPosted: Wed Nov 08, 2006 3:33 am
I would like to put in a feature request for padding on grid cells. That way, the icons occupying the cells dont take the entire space. For some maps I am working on, they look better if slightly smaller than the full size of the grid.

Thanks. =)

I brought up advanced grid features at one point a while back with the team.

Actually the way I approached it was making the grid wider and having the ability to add effects to the grid like beveled edges and such. With the option to make it semi-transparent, we can really doll it up.

Here are the examples I made for the team to digest:

Exaggerated version:

With transparency:

From what I remember, they actually thought it was a cool idea.

Definitely think it's a cool idea. The padding would be pretty easy, I could put it on the Adjust Grid tool.

I'll put in a tracker for it.

I like it. Being able to pick a pixel or two of padding will be nice.
