I had about 5 minutes to get the server up and running before my last session, and I had some issues, so I gave up and we used our normal Skype connection. I would, however, like to check out Ventrilo

What is the knock against Skype? I don't do any VOIP except for gaming with Maptools. My group has used this for about a month without any significant problems. Are there security/functionality issues that I should be aware of?

My group uses Skype and we haven't had any issues with it (knock on wood). I have heard a lot of good things about Ventrilo...so you may want to check that out.

Heh - I just found them at WOTC as Maps-of-the-Week. Nice...I can use that as the base and then just fill in the TOPO and add some objects. Easy-Peasy.

I'm going to run my group through G1-2-3 soon. Has anybody seen or created maps for this module? I can probably hack out some rough maps, but my artistic kung-fu is weak compared to what I've seen from a lot of you all, so I just thought I'd see if anyone has already done this.

Thanks for the help. Apparently the S-video out only acts as a second monitor and doesn't allow you to toggle between laptop display and TV. So Vry had the right idea.
