Hey Amaril, I can only speak for my group, but playing online has definately increased our enjoyment of the game. We used to play twice a month, but now we play every weekend, sometimes even more than once a week. Here are the plusses for us: 1. Not being away from home. Wives, kids, pets, etc... Ou...

Only popping on to say that I was wondering this myself. It would make increase readability quite a bit if it were possible.

Dracorat - that is very cool. I'll probably be over there to take a look shortly...
I had about 5 minutes to get the server up and running before my last session, and I had some issues, so I gave up and we used our normal Skype connection. I would, however, like to check out Ventrilo

That was very educating. Thanks for the info RP.

A related question while the experienced panel is still in session...

What is the knock against Skype? I don't do any VOIP except for gaming with Maptools. My group has used this for about a month without any significant problems. Are there security/functionality issues that I should be aware of?

My group uses Skype and we haven't had any issues with it (knock on wood). I have heard a lot of good things about Ventrilo...so you may want to check that out.

Some users having trouble Impersonating using b28

When we are playing, the players like to use Impersonate when chatting so that their token icons pop up, instead of just chatting, where it doesn't. However, every now and then, when a player connects, he cannot impersonate. Seems to be sporadic on who it affects, but it lasts the entire session. An...

We just finished up our first MapTools session tonight. I ran Against the Giants, using maps that I downloaded from the WOTC site, and the 3.5 conversion from ENWorld. Outside of drawing the topography and dragging tokens onto the screen, I hardly had to do anything to prepare. I had two instances o...

Heh - I just found them at WOTC as Maps-of-the-Week. Nice...I can use that as the base and then just fill in the TOPO and add some objects. Easy-Peasy.

Against the Giants

I'm going to run my group through G1-2-3 soon. Has anybody seen or created maps for this module? I can probably hack out some rough maps, but my artistic kung-fu is weak compared to what I've seen from a lot of you all, so I just thought I'd see if anyone has already done this.

Thanks!

Thanks for the help. Apparently the S-video out only acts as a second monitor and doesn't allow you to toggle between laptop display and TV. So Vry had the right idea. As far as being disappointed goes...its actually not to bad at all. Since we are just using this as a way to map and keep track of b...
