Re: MapTool 1.4.0.0 Build
Is there a target for when sound is going to be incorporated into the system? As far as I am concerned, this is high on my 'want list'

Re: Macro changes 'top down' to 'circle'
Thanks to everyone so far with help and suggestions. This may help to track down the problem. I dragged a new token onto the active map and then ran an attack against it. It did not change to a 'circle' token. However, when I then ran an attack against a token that was already on the map when I upgr...

Re: Macro changes 'top down' to 'circle'
Thanks for the reply Wolph. There are no called sub-macros - which is why the macro code is 300 lines long. :D It's a macro that worked fine in earlier versions of MT, so I think it is something to do with version 91. I see that "aranginor" had the same problem in Feb 2014, but cannot find...

Macro changes 'top down' to 'circle'
I am using v.91. Everytime I run my 'attack' macro, it changes the target token from 'top down' to 'circle'. There is nothing in the macro that refers to gettokenshape or settokenshape, so I do not understand why the token is being changed. I did a quick workaround by making the last line of the mac...

Re: Unique draws from a card deck
It's OK - I think I cracked it.
I deleted the macro.return in the first block of code and replaced it with:
[H: setProperty ( "drawDeck", drawDeck )]
I've run it a few times and it seem to work without producing duplicates.
Many thanks to both for your help

Re: Unique draws from a card deck
Hi Ditto Thanks for the detailed reply. It's much clearer now, although I think I am still messing it up as I keep getting duplicates. To test it, I created a small table of 9 images called "Mysticdeck", adjusted the 'for' statement to (i,1,10) and just added the following line to the bott...

Re: Unique draws from a card deck
Hi Aliasmask
Thanks for the speedy reply. I'm trying to improve my coding skills so could you please explain the logic behind your coding, as I am not too sure how it works.
Thanks
Grimbold

Unique draws from a card deck
I am trying to create a macro that selects 6 cards from a deck of 52 cards. Previously I used a simple table, but that always has the chance of drawing a previously drawn card. Does anyone have any ideas how to do this, or code examples I can use and adapt.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Attention: Windows Users using JAVA 7 with MapTool
Thanks for the reply but I had already managed to crack it - and you are right, it was a macro problem after all. For info, in case anyone else has the same problem, it was to do with the 'eval' command. In campaign properties, 'weapon0' was for unarmed combat i.e. punching etc and one of the proper...

message "Illegal argument type java.math.BigDecimal"
Would this Java problem explain my problem with MT? I am running Windows 7, Java 1.6.0_24-b07, and MT 1.3.b87 and some of my macro seem to have recently stopped working properly i.e. since 17 Feb when I last used it. The main problem is with my "attack" macro (it's AD&D 2e). The macro ...

Some questions on functionality!
Hi Everyone Just downloaded MT last week and have been playing with it for a while. I have a few questions and would be grateful for some feedback. Q1 - We run an OD&D campaign and roll stats using the highest three out of 4 D6's. I see from the website that we can use the XdYdN function, so I a...
