Re: hp bar with critical damage

Could you be a little more specific about what you want? My SR4 framework runs two bars, and I can confirm that it is possible to have one overflow into another. We run top & bottom bars, but you could also bump the thickness up and have the second bar appear behind the first. Why don't you post...

Advanced Macro Help: Chunky Salsa

I have another Shadowrun issue, and it occurs to me that somebody here might be able to suggest a solution. Shadowrun has a method for handling for grenade/blast weapons, affectionately known as the "Chunky Salsa Rule". Normally, a blast loses power as it moves from the epicenter, so at 3 ...

Tooltips behave strangely in Functions

I've come to rely on the Tooltip roll option somewhat, as a way to hide information until needed. (e.g., a player only gets to roll 3 of his 9 dice to attack, and hovers over the tooltip, which displays -4 Attacker Wounded, -2 Target Hidden, -3 Attacker Sustaining Spells) Most of the time, we are qu...

Re: setInitiative() without switchToken()?

Here's what I wrote so far, but it would be easy to simplify it. I did use Wiki: switchToken() in my code to handle all the different tokens at once. Wow, that is...impressive. Especially considering this isn't even your framework! I can tell you put some work in on this, not to mention solved a fe...

Re: setInitiative() without switchToken()?

The line: d(1,initiativePool) is confusing to me. Is initiativePool a result of rolled dice? I thought you roll the dice and then subtract 10 for each pass. Is that how you're doing it? Er, no - in SR4, each token rolls for initiative by combining several stats, wound modifiers, and any bonuses due...

setInitiative() without switchToken()?

Soooooo... I'm building a framework for Shadowrun, which has the dubious distinction of the most convoluted and absurd initiative system known to man. Suffice to say, I am currently hip-deep in rewriting the code I had been using to manage it. I suspect one of the issues slowing down the macro is th...

Re: Basic HTML question

If anyone tries to do something similar, I came up with a workaround. Since the mouse quickly becomes a dealbreaker if you need to input more then a few commands, I added a command line option "Command" that loops a simple Input dialog, like so: [h: CommandInput=""] [h, WHILE(Com...

Re: copyToken - how to get around property assignment limita

@MikeKozar Thanks for sharing. Yeah I actually use copyToken() and execLink -deferred with some success. You may want to look into using the deferred option of execLink as it will execute the linked macro after the current macro runs, mostly, sorta, with luck My framework uses it deferred, certainl...

Re: copyToken - how to get around property assignment limita

I'm not sure if I'm missing what we're trying to accomplish, but here is some code that is working for me... Here is the initial copy: [ original = "Osuald" ] [ posX = 1 ] <br> [ updates = "{ name: '[r: original + posX]', x: '[r: posX = posX + 1]', delta=1 }" ] <br> [ newDudes = ...

Re: copyToken - how to get around property assignment limita

I also use the CopyToken() to drop bodies and throw grenades, although those mostly don't need stats assigned. Here's the framework; Try Campaign Macro "Summon" with token Bravo selected if you want to see it work. This frame work is a long way from official release, so please do not judge...

Re: copyToken - how to get around property assignment limita

For what it's worth, I am using the Summon code as above currently, and have gotten around the issue. Summoning is kind of bread & butter in Shadowrun, so it's important that I be able to drop a new token ready for battle at a player's request. I added an input() to the second macro to allow for...

Most of that I don't understand. I'm sorry.

EDIT: Ah, new posts while I was pondering, sorry. I don't know how to insert/setup CSS.

Basic HTML question

I've got a bit of a issue with my Shadowrun framework. I'm building a Command Line to handle the management of programs and devices on the many computer systems in the game, and I'm actually pretty happy with most of it. Using the excellent tutorials on the wiki, I have a frame showing a 12-line dis...

Re: How to append whitespace to a string?

Thank you! I tested the following per your advice and it solved the problem. [testphrase="Fishsticks"] <pre> [while(length(testphrase)<15), CODE:{ [testphrase=concat(testphrase," ")]<br> }] [concat(testphrase,"!")] </pre>
