Re: General D&D Next (5e) Framework

Thanks.

The windows are positioning better now, too.

Re: General D&D Next (5e) Framework

ah, updates. I'm subscribed to the thread now. Lets see what you've got.... :)

(edit) The Hero token seems to be working, but not the monster. I get various versions of:

java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "AC" error executing expression Mod = json.get(Modifier, Attr).

Re: General D&D Next (5e) Framework

I'll see if I can get to it this week. - Rather than a set bonus, the skills dialog should probably just reference your skill dice. You can put the dice in with the "set bonus" (so instead of putting a 4 as the set modifier you can put in a 1d4 or 4+1d4). That is a hold over until there i...

Re: General D&D Next (5e) Framework

Had our first game last week. Not sure if Java 7 related or something with the framework but frequently would get "stuck" where I couldn't select or move anything. Switching in and out of the app seemed to clear it up. Feedback items: - The character sheet window appears beneath the OSX me...

Re: General D&D Next (5e) Framework

I was just ready through the playtest packet and the MDD counter doesn't seem that useful now. Since you get all your dice for your action, and all your dice for your reaction having a counter doesn't seem to add much. I could be wrong though. Having a spot for monster traits and reactions would be ...

Re: General D&D Next (5e) Framework

Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but seems to be the only framework for 5e. The top 4 items in yorick's post seem to be essential. - Reaction counter. "Did I take my reaction? Didn't I?" Should refresh at start of turn. - Ki counter. Refreshes on long rest. - Skill die counter? Not sur...

Re: Problems installing Maptool 1.3b87.dmg on Mac

Just to clarify, its not a Java specific problem. Any "untrusted" application will generate a similar error in OS X 10.8. For those that don't want to watch the whole video, you need to allow applications to run that came from "Anywhere" in your Security & Privacy control pan...

Re: [Map Bits] Infinity Dungeon Tileset by VertWrangler

"Plain" floors would be handy. Possibly some with shadows on 1-4 sides so that if we mask over a wall (say with some BAM) we can cover some or all of the shadows from nearby walls.

Very cool set though.

Re: DeviantNull Framework - Quick question on combat

You can apply damage semi-automatically. The standard attack process is: 1: click your attack. 2: note if the attack hit or not. 3: if you want to apply damage (or a condition), click the target to take the damage and then click the underlined damage link in the chat output. 4: you'll get HP change ...

If it happens again I'll save them. This was the first time I've had this problem and I wanted to keep the action moving. :)

Huh. I must've done something odd. Impersonate window is looking like the way to go!

Re: Locking the selection window to a single token

OK, the impersonate window behaves about right, but the macros still care about the selected token, not the impersonated token. But perhaps there's a tweak to be made. Making a character sheet frame was my original plan, but it seemed like such a basic feature I wanted to double check I wasn't re-in...

Re: [1.3.b66] Initiative panel not updating for players

I tried Remove All and my players said they could still see a creature left from the last battle (my screen showed as empty). I was getting some Java exceptions when I was trying to use my Initiative macro (cause or symptom I don't know). I didn't realize switching maps would do anything but restart...
