Re: VTT centric RPG?
Yes, LMORPG! Except that people would pronounce it LamoRPG... so maybe a better acronym. Anyway, thanks for the responses and reality checks. I did have another tool idea. RelationTool. Think crime board or node map... something to display which groups or individuals interact with which others and h...

VTT centric RPG?
Big Idea : All of the effort seems to be concentrated on simulating the rules of a tabletop game, written to not use a computer, on a computer. What if instead we worked on modules that would help game masters tell exciting stories and use the computer to make that as easy as possible? The concept ...

Re: Pre defined player option tree?
Thank you very much. It's a bit deep for my understanding of code so I'll have to do some research to absorb your answer.

Pre defined player option tree?
Haven’t been here in a while so I’m definitely behind on what capabilities are available but I’m wondering if this type of thing is feasible. In attempting to simplify play for a game recently it occurred to me that a defined option function tree would be useful. Let me explain... The PCs are in a c...

Re: Future of MapTool?
So, something like a javadoc for IsTrustedFunction.java would look like: Checks the GM and editable property values of a macro to confirm that the passed function object is trusted. If so allows additional parameters to be used by the named function Is that the sort of thing you're talking about? I...

Re: Future of MapTool?
Try this experiment, go to RPTools.net and look at what is actually there, not on another site, not on the forums or in the wiki. There is no documentation, there is no help section, the FAQ doesn't even include the most obvious question "How do I use this stuff?!" There are three differe...

Re: What about a built in voice chat?
Not a programmer, How difficult would it be to have the MT interface able to perform basic operations for some of the more common programs (hot key - shrotcut type of thing)? If Google+, Skype and 1 or 2 others really popular ones have basic functions 'supported by maptool' within the MT interface i...

Re: what gaming app(s) are missing but needed?
Oddly enough, my wishes would be for tool-making tools. What I mean is, instead of a character sheet for a game system, there would be a proto-sheet, with X attributes, Y skills, etc. that has some fairly easy to implement instructions on customization. Once that is released into the wild where non-...

Re: Game Images Copyrights & Magic: The Gathering
To this end, for all you Magic The Gathering players, I have written a program that gets Magic The Garthering card images directly from the Gatherer (Wizards Of The Coast) website. These can then be drawn into MapTools as tokens and with an appropriate framework (like the one I am currently working...

Re: backpack manager
Why not do this visually, like in Diablo? You could token each item and have it 'fit' into a space that is defined by the container.

Re: New Art Pack! CSP Dungeon Geomorphs!
...does anyone know of a way to erase/cover/hide/eliminate the square grid lines in the pictures? Unfortunately it is part of the actual image (drawn in photoshop) - and while it's not totally impossible to go back and remove the 'stone slab' effect from all the tiles, it would be a rather large un...

Re: New Art Pack! CSP Dungeon Geomorphs!
Neat, does anyone know of a way to erase/cover/hide/eliminate the square grid lines in the pictures? Options: 1. Ask the artist nicely if he has the ability to make a whole new set without a grid. Artists may or may not put the effort into something like that. Offering a nice donation helps, since ...
