I get this all the time using "Apply" and "Run" buttons. Hmmm... I never have this problem (in previous versions anyway). Though, perhaps it's worth noting that I never use the "run" button... and do most of my macro writing in Notepad++ and paste the updated code into the MT editor and just click ...

You should only have to re-run onCampaignLoad if you are initializing a new function after loading your campaign (or renaming an existing one.) I do something like this

Nope.
You won't find any macro functionality (at present) that interacts with the filesystem.

The token is the character record unless you are doing weird things. If you don't trust cut/copy/paste, save frequently :D Alternately you can automate the process using moveTokenToMap or moveTokenFromMap or copyToken or Make players save their tokens. If you are exposing FoW with exposePCOnlyArea() then it hides everything they cannot current see, unlike exposeFOW() which adds the newly exposed area to the existing visible area.
