Re: Using '+' as an identifier in a string/substring
One thing I forgot to check is whether \\d is a digit or a number. If it's the former than it won't work for e.g. 123W567+890 so check that first. edit: its the former. Here's the correct code: <pre> [h: tmpstring='30W60+40'] [h: id = strfind(tmpstring, "(\\d*)W(\\d*)\\+(\\d*)")] [r:getGr...

Re: java.net.ConnectException
Connection issues can be extremely frustrating. I've had them before and I'm not a networking guru. But just so I'm clear. I have been through the faq. At what point does it fail in the faq? step 1 - can see the server Is this in the chat window or are you using the website canyouseeme.org to verify...

Re: java.net.ConnectException
Have you stepped through the Networking FAQ to find the point of failure? Have you used canyouseeme.org to make sure your Maptool port is open to the internet? Do you use port forwarding? It doesn't hurt to check on updates. On Win 7 you can check by going to the control panel>>Programs and features...

Re: Gradient Alignment Chart
Very unique approach. I'll have to give it some thought before deciding to use it or not. I appreciate your ideas.

Re: HTML Question
Is there an example you can give me that does not include the use of strformat? I lack the skills to roll up all of my output into a concise package.

Re: HTML Question
Thanks AM that works sort of. I probably wasn't clear. I was looking to completely fill the background with the image and then be able to cover it with writing. As it stands it seems to only reveal the background as you put text up. I would like to be able to use other macros to generate writing inc...
