Re: Can't open campaign

Thanks for the clue. I had to add

Code: Select all

-Djava.util.Arrays.useLegacyMergeSort=true
in the launcher before starting MapTool

Re: Can't open campaign

If it helps, here is what I got from the debug console using 1.4.0.5: Exception in thread "Thread-18" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Comparison method violates its general contract! at java.util.TimSort.mergeLo(TimSort.java:7777) at java.util.TimSort.mergeAt(TimSort.java:514) at java....

[Solved] Can't open campaign

When trying to open it, I can see the first map in the preview when selecting the file, but when I click Open, the screen flicke...

Re: Cannot start server on linux

Like I said in the other post, something stupid you overlook... I removed openjdk and install the jre package. It works now. Something I didn't think about when I re-installed everything..

Thanks a lot!

Re: Maptools and ubuntu

Works fine on Arch and other small distro, you only have to set the .sh script to executable beforehand. It could just be something overlooked that will make you slap your head once you find what it is, depending on your level of understanding of linux.

Re: Cannot start server on linux

Okay, let's determine what's up with the server by looking at the network connections before and after you try to start the server. Run the following commands in a console window and paste the results into a post, inside some BBcode "code" tags. (That means an open bracket, the word code ...

Re: Maptools and ubuntu

If you downloaded the zip file, did you do "chmod +x Launch\ Maptool.sh", or enable the execute flag with your file browser?

Re: Cannot start server on linux

I appreciate that. But you still haven't answered my question: what step did you get to while going through the FAQ? Did Step 1 work? Did Step 2? Step 1 "Test Connection Button": reports "Unable to see your computer from the internet". Which is expected since I have a firewall a...

Re: Cannot start server on linux

I used Arch linux and everything worked fine. Like I said in another thread, I reinstall Arch linux because years of updating on top of old config files made the system a bit slow. I have gone through all the faq and threads about networking and connection I could find on this forum. Heck I even loo...

How are you starting MT?

If you are using the zip version change your start script to use "java" instead of "javaw" and report back with any error messages.
Using zip version and there are no error reported to the console.

Cannot start server on linux

(Yes I know, another one of those thread...) Never had this problem before, but I tried the last 4 releases of MT and I can't start a server. I'm running a new install of linux, so *maybe* I'm missing a package.. When I click on "Start Server" I get the usual dialog window and click OK, th...
