Not really sure of the best term. But really structure you might see in a top down view of a city will be of use to me. I don't discriminated against those without a roof.
Either way that is a very cool collection so far. And I havent even found what Im looking for yet! lol

Top down city map building icons/brushes
I'm looking to make a fairly large city map including a bit of the surrounding area in maptools. I looked at other software and honestly maptools has what I'll need and this is where Im using is so... Why not? It'll be supposed to support around 20k-30k people. I already have most of what I need. Bu...

Re: Token Generation Macro
I think I may have found it myself. Maybe. Though it looks like I'm going to have to do a lot more digging before I really understand how to use it. *sigh* A shame. I think I could manage the rest easy enough.

Re: Token Generation Macro
I let myself get distracted from this little project for a while but the fact that I am actually already running a campaign in this setting has sort of gotten me back into it. In an effort to get at least something minimal going to help with my game I'm going to content myself with simply copying th...

Re: Token Generation Macro
Hmm. Seeing that I have options is awesome. As I admitted from the start I have a lot to relearn before I am ready to touch this again but thanks for the link and code snippet to study all the same! As for the use I have in mind? It's generally to for making random encounters. The tokens would be cr...

Token Generation Macro
I'm slowly getting back into a little project of mine involving lots of random tables. I've got a lot to relearn before this is much of an issue but knowing if it's possible could only be a motivator. I will be making macros to generate NPCs. Is it possible to have the macro place a specific token a...

Re: Launcher Problem - Java Path Set Correctly
Sorry to necro this thread but wolph42 mentions jwrapper coming in the next release does he mean 1.4.0.6 or some other increment? I'm not really sure what constitutes a "release" exactly. I'm really wanting to try and run a game with maptools but the biggest block for many people seems to ...

Re: Trying to be complex with maptools tables. Need help!
I've never used spreadsheets for anything. I know nothing really about excel or the open office alternative I actually have installed. So taking that into account I looked at your bot tables in the light edition and sorta.. I tried pasting from maptools table, just straight copy and paste, but I thi...

Re: Trying to be complex with maptools tables. Need help!
As for what was confusing with bot? When I get to tinkering with this stuff all new questions and information can be somewhat confusing. My first issue with BOT came when I watched the video linked and it had a couple steps missing. Then I figured Im not quite trying to run a game with maptools curr...

Re: Trying to be complex with maptools tables. Need help!
Actually, I got a bit confused and went running right on back to regular maptools. x.x But I am learning a lot, relatively, about how this stuff works. My idea for dealing with complex output from a table worked. Its a bit long winded but it works! Not looking forward to it when the tables are a cou...

Yep, had entirely enough of the built in table interface. Time to check out the bag of tricks.

Re: Trying to be complex with maptools tables. Need help!
I think I have figured out the issue I was having this time. And have figured out a, if not the best, solution. During my tinkering I had figured out that if a table result was feeding directly to chat it could have simple die rolls in it to sort of execute simple commands. Sorta useful. But I am tr...
