Re: Spreading the Gospel
I've seen some RPG projects raise an incredible amount of money (over a million dollars for the Order of the Stick books)... Really? Sheesh. I bought all three of the first books but I wouldn't have put up money in adance, I think... If I could get that kind of cash I could quit my day job!...

So I'm looking for info either to do one myself or to provide info to a group who's done a great job with other podcasts. If you want to chime in comment on the blog post below.

Reddit /r/rpg mention
RPG's FAQ mentions rptools as part of the list of software available for gamers. http://www.reddit.com/r/rpg/ there's also a few posts where people mention that they use Maptool, or suggest it.

Re: Maybe it is time to move from Java
Sorry, in this case the Alternative I was suggesting was the Lunduke SDK... It's not ready yet, but by the time 1.4 is "done" and 2.0 is starting the Lunduke SDK should be close to ready.

It's struck again. I can't play anymore starting this year (full time employ of a gaming company). However, I have kind of a special interest in how this one turns out. Anybody here playing?

Re: List of websites that offer dedicated Servers
If I understand correctly, the critical piece is that there would have to be a logged in user account consistently on the remote server. This is because all of the MapTool graphics stuff as well as preferences, etc require a logged in user account(don't want "root" or yours either but a s...

Re: Official D&D projector table Project
MPX comes in Xorg now, but I'm not sure how to activate extra devices... :( Interesting, I didn't know that. Probably just another entry in the xorg.conf file, and if both mice were active when the system was installed the install routine would probably find them and configure them automatically. I...

What would you want in a vtt/rpg linux distro
Ubuntu's started work on 12.04 which will be their next LTS release, the way people talk unity behaves a lot better (still waiting on the thing to finish downloading to play with myself)... I've thought about a 'nix distro pointed at vtts and p&p rpg for a while now, and with my worksheets actua...

Re: Official D&D projector table Project
Looked great, my only suggestion would be that if your going to build a dedicated table, and go through this much, get a little net-top or mini-pc to run the instance of mt for the table. This'll resolve the mouse, and response issues.

How does one eat an elephant?
One bite at a time...
Start with your plan to integrate jkGUI for 1.4 (or 1.5), then work on the voip in the one after that.

The source is available on the site as well, and it's all GPLv2. We could take a stab at providing better export code...
