I am playing SOTC, but I have explicitly not made a MT framework for it because the game is TOO narrative, and the map-based nature of MT lends a strong tactical flavour to anything, which is counter-productive for FATE.
It can be done, but I think doing it is a bad idea.

Re: New Open Gaming System?
Pick an existing game system and run with it. My whole point about this discussion is not that other systems fail but that other system are closed because there are rights on them, and the few ones that are not protected are so small or poorly supported that they are not worthed. OK, so you claim t...

Re: what do you use for character sheets?
Myth Weavers!
Here's an example sheet: http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.p ... tid=108633
Obviously they're editable and publicly viewable, and universally accessible with just a browser.
And free.

Re: New Open Gaming System?
You still can't do it, because for every thing you add or improve, you have to take away from something else. You can add detail, but you take away speed. You can add realism, but you take away flexibility. You can add options, but you take away simplicity. Every new rule you add takes away simplici...

Re: Tie VBL to Backgrounds / Objects
People are working on this.
However, it's about ten thousand times more complicated than it would seem at first glance.
I'm not exaggerating.

Re: Passive stealth and "True" blindness
The biggest problem with this is that leaving the player in control of their token movement when "truly blind" WILL result in them making several "illegal" moves... into walls or monsters and such. It becomes a massive headache when they move, and you have to move them back and s...
