Using Light as a zone

We have a 4E D&D Bard in our group that creates a burst 5 "buff zone" effect during our encounters. Ideally, we'd like a way of marking that zone on the map to see what that 11 x 11 square looks like without having to keep checking if we (the other players) are inside the zone or not. ...

4E Assassin Macros and Campaign Properties

This is some basic stuff but I figured it might help some people new to macros and/or new to the assassin class (DDI subscriber exclusive class). I've added shrouds and shade form as states for the assassin to the usual campaign properties I normally use (forgot who made these otherwise I'd credit t...

Re: 4e - which framework and why?

It would be great if someone could post links to these frameworks for those of us who don't know where to find them (aka: lazy people like me).

Re: Wiki

Hmm. I went to main site and put "wiki" into the Search box. All three links that came up mentioned the wiki, although I will admit it wasn't in a 36-pt font... That's how I found it... after I heard it existed on the forums. If you're new to MapTool, how are you supposed to know it exist...

Wiki

Ok, so I only just found the wiki and it seems to be treated as "not ready yet" documentation. I think even in its current state it might be a usable resource that should be more prominent instead of buried under the maptool FAQ or the tutorial (listed under fansite??). I know the plan is ...

I just wanted to say thank you for the Mac love. Of the 5 comps used to play, 4 of them are Macs.

Re: Question about token vision

A: whoops. That's a typo. I meant b53. B, C, D: Ok. These I had understood correctly. I had Default Units per Cell set to 1. So I figured I should have been able to see 40 squares. E: Ah! Ok, makes sense now. Maybe change the help text from "Range of personal light" to "Range of visio...

Re: Saving position and size of windows

Ok, it works in b53. Weird. It didn't seem to be working in b52 but maybe that was my brain playing tricks on me.

Question about token vision

Preface: I'm using b54, weblaunch on a MacBook. Problem: My Prefs has default vision of 40. My PC token can't see further than 10, in a circle (in GM view, appears the same in Player view). Settings: Map -> Vision is set to Off. (Day doesn't help) Token Config: Has sight= checked, Normal state Campa...

Re: Saving position and size of windows

To be clear, windows like Initiative and Chat will have their size and position saved in b54?

That would be great!

Re: Keep on the Shadowfell (Fully Updated)

Ah, yes. That button could use a better label, like "Maps" or something. I was confused as well. But now that I'm used to it I assumed everyone else was as well. :P
