Re: New World of Darkness framework: Orpheus

I'm terribly busy on the job these days, but some time soon I'll get around to cleaning up the framework and putting it online for download.

Until that time, just send me a PM with an email address and I'll send the framework to you.

Re: Buggy Damage Roller Macro

The first step is to trace down where the error occurs. 1.) Make a copy of the macro 2.) Keep removing lines from the copied macro until the error does not occur anymore. Then readd the last deleted lone. 3.) Take a long hard look at this line, where the error (first) occurs. You can then probably f...

Campaign and macro properties reset

Hey all. I have run into a strange problem: I want to overhaul an older campaign framework of mine, during which I wanted to make certain macros trusted, and some more details. Now I'm pretty annoyed that the "players can edit macro" tick box in my campaign macros resets to "can edit&...

Re: Passive stealth and "True" blindness

Neat idea with the duplicate token, but again the blind person's party would still see their true position as opposed to his assumed position.

"Vision" is the one area in MT that is hampering an overly simulationist approach. Everything else works pretty astoundingly well.

Re: Funky die roll needed

Mr. Rose, here you go. My macro for the new world of darkness, which uses just the system you are describing (with d10s). It uses zEal's queued conditional output in the very end ("outputTo"), but if you don't want to get into that, just get rid of the send to GM option. If you are also lo...

Re: Random Maths: average number of successes on exploding dice

Yeah well... My main point here is about changing the difficulty vs. changing the reroll threshold. You're absolutely right in that the relative benefit of having some bonus or the relative penalty of having 2 less dice is biggest when you have few dice to begin with. Changing the difficulty and cha...

Random Maths: average number of successes on exploding dice

Hey all. For my New World of Darkness conversion of Orpheus, I ran into the following problem: In the old world of darkness, the difficulty of rolls was usually adjusted by raising or lowering the difficulty of the roll (that is, the target number you need to roll for the die to be counted as a succ...
