451/452

The 50 SL march to big #500 begins! :) Yes, much slower rate of release these days but that's because both our groups are having so much fun. It's true that the Token prompts (and Breakdown at beginning of combat) continue to annoy us but just keeping clicking OK (not Cancel!) and you are good to go...

SL 449/450

It's always a good milestone to reach a 50 multiple! For this edition two big improvements have been made to the monster importer. First of all, basic attacks beyond the first one will now be detected. Long time users of the MPB know that basic attacks beyond the first power have needed to be manual...

447/448

The ultra slow development pace continues but the latest SL pair is finally available. 447 fixes an Import crash on the Trap token, Polymorph prompting to delete "Aborted" token, Handout to Chat displaying as overlay, Attack Power 's Fast Mode restriction for damage, Initiative still prompting for B...

SL 445/446

Wow this has to be the slowest development month in MPB history! This was due to a perfect storm of not having a lot of free time, playing less (therefore fewer bugs discovered to fix although DragonFlo's feedback has helped) and just simply solid performance by the framework. Nevertheless, a new pa...

Re: The MacroPolicebox: Second Regeneration (D&D 4E Framework)

Yeah, you have to use Snap to Grid because the macro needs to accurately measure squares for power ranges. I suppose I could adapt the Choose Targets macro to accommodate that movement mode but in the interim it would be easier to just put an intelligible error message instead. Good feedback!

Re: The MacroPolicebox: Second Regeneration (D&D 4E Framework)

No disrespect taken but try as I might, I was not able to reproduce the "Argument number 1 "22,232" to function "number" must be a number." error. I dragged Erisha into my own test campaign and SL 445. In all cases, it worked fine as seen here even though I deliberately tried tripping it up by chang...

Re: The MacroPolicebox: Second Regeneration (D&D 4E Framework)

Well you don't have to use all the automation. What bug are you referring to? My group isn't having any trouble other than the performance issues I discussed. Don't forget Veggiesama and the other frameworks are unsupported and have bugs that will never be fixed as explained in my Transition Guide. ...

Re: The MacroPolicebox: Second Regeneration (D&D 4E Framework)

Dang I should have thought of that but then again you will note this portion of the error you posted: and in exposed areas of FoW, Mea culpa for asking what the bolded ending text was when you did, in fact, include it. Mind you, area attacks should still work, theoretically. Just single target attac...

Re: The MacroPolicebox: Second Regeneration (D&D 4E Framework)

Evil empire or not, the cold hard reality is not all apps are made for Linux and OS X (which is why I liked the now defunct online DDI offering), much as you and I would like for that to be the case. My importer is designed to use Detail Adder and the iws.mx Compendium output. I'm afraid that isn't ...

Re: The MacroPolicebox: Second Regeneration (D&D 4E Framework)

You will get no argument from me that Windows needs to be avoided and that UNIX is the best way to go. My brand new iMac will be arriving in 2 weeks! I am super excited given the one I am typing on right now was purchased in July 2011. Don't get me wrong, it as provided 9 years of faithful service b...

Re: The MacroPolicebox: Second Regeneration (D&D 4E Framework)

Glad to hear the monsters are coming along nicely! Character tokens are the same exercise, they just take much longer. Before we talk about specific powers, please confirm you are following the steps at http://macropolicebox.ihostfull.com/index.php/creating-player-characters . Were you able to insta...

Goblin import

Good to hear from you DragonFlo but sorry to hear you're having difficulty. F4 not working is described in the "MapTool Bug" section of http://macropolicebox.ihostfull.com/index.php/setup-player-token-f4 . We are at v1.7 so I'm thinking it's not a bug and the way RPTools actually wants it to work. I...

Re: The MacroPolicebox: Second Regeneration (D&D 4E Framework)

For us, my brother created his cmpgn and (of course) everything looked fine to him locally. He then started his server and we all connected like usual. For us clients, we all told him ONE map had the red Xs (the imported one) but the rest were fine. I believe he used PNGs ONLY (because he likes the ...

Login troubles

It was brought to my attention that the new site was giving a "ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR" error during login attempts. I deleted and re-added the Login Form module in Joomla and got the following confirmation from a user: Now it works! Thanks for fixing it on such a short notice and of course big thank...

Re: 438/439/Memory issue

Thanks for getting back to me, Wolph. I don't think anybody crashed last night as we have all raised our heap and stack sizes. As such, memory isn't a big issue as we are remembering to click the green usage bar as I described. Unfortunately performance is still a big problem as things are running v...
