Re: Router won't forward ports, am I SOL?

3rd party software like hamachi Hamachi worked like a charm, thank you! The limit of 5 connections isn't ideal, but as there are only 4 players plus me, it's exactly what I need. For anyone who finds this post later, you should connect via "Direct", using the IP address shown in the Hamac...

Router won't forward ports, am I SOL?

I'm returning to MapTool for the first time in about 8 years, or at least I'm trying to. Long story short, my Altice (Cablevision) cable modem/router/wifi/voice all-in-one does not allow port-forwarding. I do have a spare Linksys WRT310N sitting around, but the Altice box is seriously locked down, s...

Re: Homework

I love that Sirkana story. It feels very "end of an epic". And as we saw, Karch's story was not quite so positive.... ----- Karch Silvertongue came from nothing. A common tiefling child with a good eye for killing pests with his slingshot. He made one single choice - pulling the trigger......

Re: Bahamut's shopping spree

I know it's less than 12 hours until our game, but here are a few thoughts/questions: Just how many potions/consumables can we consume? With our effectively unlimited amount of gold, everyone is probably carrying every potion of level 25+, plus all of the stuff on Dr. P's list. Is there a limit on h...

Re: Scheduling

I had a feeling our adventure would be over by the time this became relevant, but it's looking like it might be an issue anyway. New York Comic-Con is Oct 13-16, and I will be attending the entire weekend. I am 90% sure that Kris will be joining me on Sunday too, but I'll leave it to her to confirm ...

Re: Homework

Karch's epilogue will be sent to Mike when I finish with it, since I'm not exactly sure how it's going to be used. As for the general campaign questions, bullet points are easiest to deal with, so I'm gonna go that route. Which adventures did you really enjoy? Maybe because it's fresh in my mind, bu...

Re: Character updates/questions

As a Level 30 Godhunter, Karch now has the Blasphemous Recovery feature. Once per day when Karch is hit by an attack from a creature of a higher level than him, he can choose to treat that attack as a miss, plus regain the use of his second wind, plus the use of one expended encounter power. He has ...

Re: Character updates/questions

which will leave him with a grand total of 33,429gp remaining. That was prior to the 8/14 game, which I don't believe saw us splitting up any gold. Last week we each got 1,132,000, which gives Karch a total of 1,165,429 to spend in the City Of Brass. Karch will be buying a few lower-level wondrous ...

Re: Bahamut's shopping spree

Add to my list of possibles: - upgrading my Bracers of Archery to their epic version, increasing my damage bonus from +2 to +6 - Diamond Cincture: +3 Fort and I can spend three surges as at-will minor actions, reducing the Fort bonus by 1 each time I do so. I figure this will come in a bit more hand...

Re: Character updates/questions

Yeah, the Assassin's Cloak is definitely NOT up for disenchantment - I swap between that and the Star Of The Astral Sea (or something like that). As for the Ring, you're welcome to it. The power I was using it for was a very low damage power that got me CA, but I have enough ways around that now tha...

Re: Bahamut's shopping spree

That shield sounds pretty awesome. Other than Majestic Word, does Zakiti have a lot of minor action powers? To me, that would determine which of the other two would be my second choice. I'm probably going with the Shadowflow Starleather +6 armor. +6 stealth property, and an encounter minor action to...

Bahamut's shopping spree

I thought we might want a place to discuss the items that we're considering choosing via Bahamut's Boon.

Re: Character updates/questions

It finally happened. Karch finally banked enough gold to get the Epic Bag Of Tricks. Or more precisely, he has enough to upgrade his Rust to Vermilion. BoT(V) = 2,125,000 BoT(R) = 85,000 ------------------ upgrade 2,040,000 And Karch is carrying 2,073,429, which will leave him with a grand total of ...
