Re: sortInitiative()

I know this was posted like ten years ago but I ran into the same problem. I'm basically setting up a Framework where the lowest numbered initiative goes first. I managed to figure out a method that works for me that isn't too cumbersome. Essentially it adds a two digit initiative number in front of...

Re: Force Client SelectTokens Initiative Tool

I was fooling around with macroLink() but it seems like it requires a click from the player which is what I was hoping to avoid. Thanks though!

Force Client SelectTokens Initiative Tool

In my game there are a number NPCs for whom the players determine actions. When the initiative round comes to the NPC my players are often selected on their PC token and begin clicking buttons before realizing they are on the non-initiative token. I understand SelectTokens() and can make the current...

Re: Object VBL on Non-Center Aligned Door

Is the door on the token or object layer? Also, did you move the image in the config tab? I can see this being your issue. I made a video on how I do VBL doors. m Actually I watched your video before I tried it myself. They key, that I missed, is the image file itself has the door already centered ...

Object VBL on Non-Center Aligned Door

I'm having a bit of trouble with the Object VBL on a door when it opens and closes. I change the alignment of the door in the Token window to be either right aligned or left aligned rather than center aligned so that it will swing on its hinges rather than from its center. When I put the Object VBL ...

Re: Switch Case in While Loop runs very slow per Switch item

that makes little sense, the switch statement is usually really fast. can you share the campaign file with some instructions, id like to have a look (share e.g. through dropbox) Hey, Wolph42, Thanks for the reply. I think it might have been all the looping. I took the While, Switch out of the wrapp...

Switch Case in While Loop runs very slow per Switch item

I'm trying to make a random treasure generator that looks at a long list of items of different categories and then loops randomly through them. I've shortened the treasure groups here. There are about 400 separate items right now. The problem comes in during the Switch statement. If I have 1 Switch ...

Nov 8, 2014 Session

We've actually played a couple of sessions since my last report but the last module of Way of the Wicked is filled with political intrigue and not a lot of combat. There are a couple of combats but they are, frankly, not that interesting. So I've consolidated reports a little bit. After much politic...

Re: json.get use Variable as First Argument

I would change the name listName to listValues and the statements listValues = Skills... Then it should work. You basically have 1 of 3 variables you want to get data from based on user input. Basically listValues will be a proxy to the chosen list so you don't have to change variable names. I'm no...

Re: json.get use Variable as First Argument

The value in listName is not a json format, just a regular string. What I think you're trying to do is get from the variable Skills which doesn't have quotes around it. What does the data structure look like that you want to pull values from? The data is on the property sheet as three rows: WeaponS...

json.get use Variable as First Argument

I'm having trouble with something that I think is easy. In other words, I'm an idiot. I'm trying to have my users choose an item from a list and then have that populate the first variable of a json.get. [h: me = getSelectedNames()] [h: typeIncrease = "Skill,Weapon,Magic"] [h: id = input(&q...

Sep. 20 Session

We had a session a few weeks ago but I've been pretty busy and haven't been able to write up the recap. The group began the Final Module of Way of the Wicked after defeating their sworn friend in battle. Now they must administrate the kingdom. Fun-Fun! Tom Liberman Sword and Sorcery fantasy with a L...
