How Do You Create Click-able Objects?
The one thing I've never been able to do in Maptool is create those little clickable objects or info-buttons. You know... those things where you click them and a box of text comes up? I like my maps abstract and simple, instead of detailed and realistic, so creating these would be extremely helpful ...

Re: 4E DnD Homebrew, thursdays
I'd be very interested in playing, but I couldn't do Thursday. Friday would be fine.
I'm tentatively considering a dwarven artificer, but I'm willing to fill in any necessary party roles. Let me know if you change the day, and I'll submit a character sheet.

Re: Light and vision problems
Blargh. I was looking at the 'Properties' thing on the config tab. I completely missed the other menu in the upper-right hand corner. I'm a fool.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Light and vision problems
What I mean is, and I had some trouble with VBL starting out myself first using it, in Map Explorer (GM view) have you selected the token and pressed ctrl+I or ctrl+shift+o ? This reveals what the token can see either in full distance to the extent of the vbl borders (ctrl+I) or to the extent of th...

Re: Light and vision problems
When you go to the player view, use the Map Explorer and doubleclick on the token which will center the viewport on said token. Also make sure that there actually IS a light source on the map explorer also I did this. It centered the map on where the token should be, but the token is still not visi...

Re: Light and vision problems
Is it possible you have VBL/Topology covering the token? That would block the token in Player View and not GM view. All open areas inside the walls of a dungeon should have the VBL cut out with the shift+click+drag, when viewing the VBL layer remove the blue stuff inside the room(s) and see if that...

Re: Light and vision problems
Are you sure the tokens are set to visible? (Right-click on them). All tokens are set to be visible to players. IN any event, the correct way to see the map as a player will is to actually start a second instance of Maptool and connect to the server. Then as GM, give the token ownership to the user...

Re: Light and vision problems
Go back and read this thread again. Will do. Exposing FoW clears those areas on the map, but that doesn't give the PCs a light source! I've given the tokens all their own light sources. But, going through the thread and double-checking that I've tried all the fixes... 1. Make sure the token has &qu...

Re: Light and vision problems
Hope nobody minds me bumping this thread, but I'm having a similiar problem. Everything appears to be working just how I want it to, but when I switch to Player View, I can't see any tokens. I'm designing a dark dungeon. The map is set to 'Night' vision and Fog of War is in place. All the player tok...

Sahaguin and Trog Images for Tokens
I'm designing a 4e dungeon that will make heavy use of troglodytes and sahaugin, and I'm having trouble finding images for them. Ideally I'd like three fairly distinct images of each race. And (this is a real pipe dream) some sort 'undead' version of sahaugin, or even just a black-scaled reptillian ...

Re: D&D4e Sunday 8:30 central
Great! I've updated the sheet with Focused Expertise, then. Also picked up Action Surge. Itz will never miss again!
It turns out I won't be able to make it Sunday, either. My friend is in town, and insisting a DM a game for him, heh. So I'll still be playing, just not with you guys.

Re: D&D4e Sunday 8:30 central
I've been told that the Monk Playtest article contained a new feat called 'Focused Expertise' that basically rolled Implement Expertise and Weapon Expertise into one. So a Swordmage could take Focused Expertise: Heavy Blade and get +1 to his attack, regardless of whether he's making an implement att...

Re: D&D4e Sunday 8:30 central
Sorry, didn't realize we leveled up last session. Changes to Itz: 6 more HP +1 Int and +1 Con New Feat: Weapon Expertise: Heavy Blade Retrained Retributive Shield into Implement Expertise: Heavy Blade. Kept forgetting to apply Retributive Shield's bonus... don't think I ever used it once. I might pi...

Sorry, but I won't be able to play tomorrow night. Finals have hit me like a hurricane, and I'll need to spend my time studying.

Re: 4e Eberron: "Thiera's College of Adventurers"(WL Only)
Sorry I didn't post to say so earlier, but I've updated Grauz's sheet. I've picked Spring Renewal Strike for my level 3 Encounter. http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=114313 A note on it... if you're a Protector Spirit shaman, you get the following effect: "The ally regains additi...
