Re: Token animations question
Dropping a bunch of files on the map will clutter up the map significantly and could take a significant portion of time the more animation frames you need to drop. theres no real reason not to allow players to add their own tables if the server is set to allow it.

Re: Token animations question
the short: nope. the bit longer: you can however introduce some animation using the macro system of maptool, e.g. in the BoT opening doors is animated. However its complex and depending on the connection potentially stuttering my understanding is that MT can handle this but you need to use tables, ...

Same issue here.

would love to get this fixed, and also kind of wondering about the obscene border size added to tokens in this mode, isn't there any way to make the empty space smaller? I don't mind if the arrow overlaps the token.

Re: [FREQ] Player Tables
I seem to recall table discussions a few years ago. My personal experience with them is that they mostly hold some bits of data used in a campaign framework but not much else. Usually the GM/framework coder is the one creating tables/macros/etc. If a player really needed something in a table he cou...

Re: [FREQ] Player Tables
Tables, it's needs a overhaul so we probably will not extend the usability of tables much. Jagged already has added several macros to add/delete/edit them to help bridge the gap until we can get there. It may still not help much but honestly, I think most people have gotten around the limitation by...

Re: Eclipse IDE Install for Maptool 1.4 for a clean Windows
can anyone explain if and why someone who isn't a developer should install these? or is it purely only for an administrator or programmer who knows what they are doing?

HTML changes (if any)
when moving from b87 to the latest build of 1.4, I'd like to ask if there have been any updates or soon to come updates I need to be aware of when designing html tables to sort and add flavor to token sheets and macros. MT uses a bunch of what I am informed are "depreciated" tags in the la...

Re: [FREQ] Player Tables
Having glanced inside the latest build, and read these posts, I have to wonder two things. Are there any plans to make new arrangable layers? The current hard coded format of token hidden object and background is not that usefull at all when it comes to map creation issues Compounding this issue is ...

Re: [FREQ] Player Tables
does it really? I was to understand grouping had some layer like functionality, but you couldn't say; drop a background layer above a token layer.

[FREQ] Player Tables
I'd love to see photoshop like layers, but with object grouping, I'm feeling like this is already being tested or included and I missed it. So what I have to suggest is a simpler idea. As of now, tables must be added by the dm, and the dm must give permission for others to view the table. I'd like t...

Re: MapTools won't open after I press OK in the launcher.
while maptools 1.4 works, the DM runs the games on 87b, whatever it is, it seems to be something to do with java not being located by MT, I'm going to drop my config just incase theres a mistake there

Re: MapTools won't open after I press OK in the launcher.
512k stack is 1/2 1M. There could be a stack limit to the value entered, so any value above X wouldn't matter. My recommendation is to either remove java 6 and re-install the 64bit version or upgrade to 1.4, remove all other versions of java and install the latest 64bit version of java 8 (only done...

Re: MapTools won't open after I press OK in the launcher.
""c:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw" - Xmx2048M - Xss10M -Jar maptool-1.3.b87.Jar Run" When using 2048 you have to have a 64bit OS and the 64bit java, otherwise you're stuck at 1400 or there abouts. Having a stack of 10 is just too darn high. I would never go above 4. If you ...

Re: MapTools won't open after I press OK in the launcher.
Not op, but a friends computer is having this trouble on a windows 10 machine. I have followed the steps given in this thread and get the error could not start java virtual machine. In the past this error has been because Mt cannot find java, however, I've verified that java exists in the place I ha...
