Legality of Streaming MapTool on Twitch?
I am putting together a campaign that will take place entirely online, using MapTool. I've also been watching Matthew Colville's campaign, The Chain of Acheron, and I have been inspired to stream my own campaign once I start it up. I want to get all of my ducks in a row first, though, before streami...

Re: 1.3.b91 LAN Issue
I do not know whether Hamachi provides a relevant diagnostic service. I do know, however, that his computer and mine can see each other via Hamachi with no issues. I have tried having him connect to my MapTool server using the "RPTools.net" tab in the "Connect to Server…" dialog....

1.3.b91 LAN Issue
My brother is unable to connect to my MapTool server with his computer, despite the fact that his computer and mine are both wired to the same router & have a Hamachi network in common. The other players in our group, which reside elsewhere, do not have this problem, despite all having Hamachi n...

Re: Scripting/planning ahead for colorblind gamers...
I'll keep those points in mind. Thanks for the tips. …though the macros in that screenshot shall be for my use only, as the GM; my players shall have token macros for their own use once I've finished all the others.

Re: Scripting/planning ahead for colorblind gamers...
Green text on Red is a lot harder to read, Red text on green is marginally less so Yeah, green text on a red background (and vice-versa) is not fun to read, even for those who aren't colorblind. While it's on my mind, would this possibly pose any problem for colorblind players? (I favor a darker co...

Re: b91: isPropertyEmpty() error?
That fixed it. Thanks. …that's a weird error, though… Yes, the floor() function is necessary; D&D 3.5e supports half-ranks in skills, and Concentration counts as a skill in this case. Granted, I don't plan on my players taking cross-class skill ranks in anything other than Listen, Search, or Spo...

b91: isPropertyEmpty() error?
I am getting a weird error regarding a macro function, and although I am certain as to the location of the error, its nature escapes me. Pertinent information: macro.args only consists of the ID of the current token; I never let CreatureType go empty; ChaMod and ConMod are automatically calculated; ...

Re: Nesting string lists?
…I'm trying to wrap my head around how to go about that, but nothing comes to mind. Could you write up a quick example? Perhaps that'll clear it up.

Nesting string lists?
I have recently started redesigning my code framework from scratch. Some of the major NPCs in my D&D campaign have different types of projectile ammunition (silvered arrows, cold-iron-tipped arrows, etc.). I'd like to store the type of arrow along with how much there are of that type in a String...

Weird if() chat output error for refined D&D 3.5e atk macro.
I recently started refining a homemade D&D 3.5e framework's attack macro. Check to see if any states exist that prevent the attacker from attacking (such as being dead, using the Total Defense action, etc.), and aborting via assert() if one of those conditions is met. Pull up a dialog via input(...

Re: OpenJDK 6 MT server issue (Ubuntu 12.04, MapTool v1.3.b8
It took me a bit of work just to obtain Oracle's JRE (Linux doesn't exactly make things easy), but I can now host a MapTool server on my Ubuntu tower. Many thanks, Azhrei!

Re: OpenJDK 6 MT server issue (Ubuntu 12.04, MapTool v1.3.b8
Perhaps I should have said that the issue was strictly with server hosting, and that MapTool otherwise functions normally…
That said, thanks for the heads-up about UPnP, Lee.
