Re: MapTool 1.3 Bugfix Build 75

howdy guys just a quick question in regards to VBL and how it' calculated. I remember Trevor aaaaages ago talking about (and showing examples written by the guy who worked it out) a completely different way of working out VBL that was insanely fast, could be worked out in real time, and it appeared ...

Re: Reverse a two digit integer

the easiest way would be to convert the number to a string, and then do either a list to string, or a substring to seperate variables and then rebuild it back to front. failing that, you might take the resulting roll away from the maximum possible(ie 16 from 20 = 4) and then do a lookup on a table (...

Thanks, I had already figured that out (I copied the wrong thing), but the problem is that the input string I don't know how to get it properly quoted. Each option to Input needs to be quoted, followed by a comma for the next option. Soo.. how do I get quotes in there since the normal delimiter for...

I was doing something similar to that before, but once I started making towns for my players to run around in (they've got a thief fettish :) ) I was having problems getting the sidewalks to look right when I was drawing my walls in like that. Plus I was trying to get two rooms to line up next to ea...

No worries mate - she'll be bonza :) (just thought I'd throw some aussie in there for ya  ) here's a screenshot I took from something I threw together this morning so you could see the walls without any window dressing.. took me about 2 minutes (once I rebuilt my image gallery - stupid rebuilds...

the way I've been doing it is fairly laborious, but I've been doing it for my town maps and also for a castle/catherdral I've got so it happens quite fast now.. Once your walls are in place set the grid size to half the wall size (ie. if your walls are 20pix in width then set the shadow to 10pix) th...

Drawing Tip to go into the manual

Morning All I read the "lets have a tips and trick forum" post and the "lets write a manual" post, and though I'd love to help write it, I'm so bogged down with stuff that I'd never be able to put the time in. But, I thought I'd put a tip in that I've found useful when drawing st...

Hi Slikmar the Hidden layer is the GM layer - it got renamed I think a while ago. as for the layer selection dissappearing - I just tried it and it does. I didn't test it to see if, when you select the hidden layer with the drawing tools and then select the text label that it will place labels on th...

Hey Saagael, welcome to the forum :) ok, firstly (and secondly coz this will answer your second question as well :)) Maptool assumes it is daylight unless there is a light source on the map - if there is no light source then vision is to the limits of either topology or the Default Vision Distance (...

The only problem with that is you end up numbering, which means when the players see Demon 22 they will guess there are probably 21 others. Unless you put in an automatic random number generator for each name, which means you get something like Demon 285, but it takes away from it a bit. either tha...

Possible Bug: Tokens with the same name but different GM names don't apply SELECTED macros to the token the macro is on - they apply to the first token with the name. To replicate: Create token A called "Fred"; create a macro in the SELECTED panel (I used {HP=HP-Dam}); give a value to the ...
