Re: listContains() not getting correct results from getRolled() list

The obvious workaround for that would be to add on "0," at the beginning and ",0" at the end before checking.

Re: Check die result from eval(someproperty) and return a true/false if a certain die face is rolled

I have a similar need for a Hero framework I've been dabbling with. Happy to help.

Re: Check die result from eval(someproperty) and return a true/false if a certain die face is rolled

getRolled() will give you the individual die rolls as a string list.
listContains() will tell you how many times a particular result is in that string list.

If the listContains() returns more than one, you have your crit.

Re: Commands within tables, from a macro?

I'm pretty sure the function name is case sensitive, so instead of eval m acro, it has to be eval M acro I'd also be inclined to put the table result into a variable instead of running it directly, but I have no idea if that's required. It just makes it easier for me to debug (because I can show the...

Re: Commands within tables, from a macro?

I'm not the expert on this by any means, but I think you want to look into evalMacro()

Re: Random map at campaign load

It does that. You can control which map everyone starts on by creating a library token, and putting a macro on it called onCampaignLoad, and putting [h:setCurrentMap("Your Map Name")] in it.

Re: Asset Library Stops Updating

Folders are only scanned once upon opening in MapTool. So if you add new files to a directory you have already looked at once, they won't be seen until a restart of MapTool. That is not quite true. If you add something to the folder, and go to a different resource folder (in MT), then back the fold...

Re: [TOOL] Custom Table Import Tool

It's easy enough to write a macro. I've got one in my Global macros, because I use it for virtually every game I work on. It's only 8 lines.

Re: Figure Tokens and Hidden Layer bug

I can confirm this behavior. To duplicate: Start a server, and connect with a second instance and connect as a player. Drop a token on the Hidden layer, and set it to Figure on the server. I use Tools-->Center players on current view to force a redraw on the player instance. Token remains visible. S...

Re: 1.6.1 will not launch - Failed to Launch JVM

Open up a Windows Explorer window and right click on "This PC." This will open the System window. In the menu on the left, click on "Advanced system settings." This will open the System Properties window. On the Advanced tab, click on the button at the bottom labeled "Environment Variables." In the ...

Re: Ctrl+F in macros

It does if you change the focus from the macro windows to the main window. It's annoying, and if you have more than on macro windows open, it appears to somewhat random which one gets the Find function. It's been that way for a while. I suspect the devs haven't really noticed it because most of them...

Re: Hit locations in Flashing Blades

The way I read it, it's not the distance in terms of locations 1 to 7, it's distance in terms of d20 die rolls that result in a particular location, which is not the same thing.

In any event, it's done, and seems to be working.

Re: Hit locations in Flashing Blades

That'd work if there were an equal chance for each location, which . . . there isn't. Putting numbers to the locations is my idea, not from the rules. I interpret the rules to say that you choose the d20 roll against the location table that is closest to a number the produces the location you aim at...

Re: Using MT Online Best Practices?

1. Everything the players need is sent through the network. All they need to do is install MapTool. 2. Repositories need to be set up so that the repository file can be directly accessed with a URL. Some file sharing sites, you get a URL that does to a download page. Google Drive does this, so it do...
