It would be helpful if you let the devs know what functions aren't working with brackets...
It would also be helpful if there were documentation on it somewhere in the wiki, but I can't figure out where it should be.

Re: Table for TTRPG with Raspberry Pi

There's a channel on the RPTools Discord devoted to that very subject (it's called "rptools-non-x86").

Also, for your reference, you will often get a quicker response on the Discord channel, which sees more traffic these days than the forums. But either should get you a response.

Re: Connection Problem with net FritzBox 7590

If you go to Google and search for "what's my IP," what is that address? If you open a command windows (press the Windows key, and type in "cmd" (without the quotes) and press <Enter>, then in the black box type "ipconfig" (again, without the quotes), what is the IPv4 Address? If neither of those is...

Re: IP v6

In my experience, if you're kept Win 7 up to day, IP6 is on by default there, too. Also in my experience (which is very limited, granted), it should work exactly like IP4 except that if you register it on the server list on rptools.net, that will be only your IP4 address. (I have no idea what would ...

Re: MT1.7.0 Animated assets can be added to library but are invisible on maps

I believe animated GIFs are only usable for the HTML5 overlays, which is brand new. (It would be nice if they would display a single frame like some programs will, but I suspect that may be more complicated that it looks.)

Re: line breaks not hiden to players

Perhaps if, instead of

Code: Select all

<BR>
you put in

Code: Select all

[g:"<BR>"]
(Is it g: that gets you GM only? If not, you should be able to figure out what I mean.)

Re: quick fix for running on Linux when jar doesn't work

Linux, like all Unix and BSD derived operating systems, is case sensitive in the file system. In Windows, "B" and "b" are the same, so far as Windows is concerned. But in *nix, they are different characters. What you observe is precisely what I'd expect (assuming the folder is named "Bin" and not "b...

Re: listContains() not getting correct results from getRolled() list

The obvious workaround for that would be to add on "0," at the beginning and ",0" at the end before checking.

I have a similar need for a Hero framework I've been dabbling with. Happy to help.

Re: Check die result from eval(someproperty) and return a true/false if a certain die face is rolled

getRolled() will give you the individual die rolls as a string list.
listContains() will tell you how many times a particular result is in that string list.

If the listContains() returns more than one, you have your crit.

Re: Commands within tables, from a macro?

I'm pretty sure the function name is case sensitive, so instead of eval m acro, it has to be eval M acro I'd also be inclined to put the table result into a variable instead of running it directly, but I have no idea if that's required. It just makes it easier for me to debug (because I can show the...

Re: Commands within tables, from a macro?

I'm not the expert on this by any means, but I think you want to look into evalMacro()

Re: Random map at campaign load

It does that. You can control which map everyone starts on by creating a library token, and putting a macro on it called onCampaignLoad, and putting [h:setCurrentMap("Your Map Name")] in it.

Re: Asset Library Stops Updating

Folders are only scanned once upon opening in MapTool. So if you add new files to a directory you have already looked at once, they won't be seen until a restart of MapTool. That is not quite true. If you add something to the folder, and go to a different resource folder (in MT), then back the fold...
