Re: Strange glitchy appearance whenever I hover over a button or separation bar

This can also be caused by riva tuner statistic server (RTSS, an utility that comes with Afterburner overclocking software) if on-screen display is enabled while running maptools.

Re: MapTool 1.8.0 Beta 2 Released

I didn't test for very long but the speed improvement with FoW is really impressive on my system (about 5 times faster on some maps with heavy FoW)!

Really looking for the stable 1.8, nice improvements as always thanks to the team!

Re: Was drag-and-drop from Windows Explorer removed in 1.7.0?

I was not able to reproduce the issue using these configurations/manipulations: 1) dual screen, same resolution win7 2) dual screen, two different resolutio...

good to hear, I still wasnt sure how user friendly it is, always hard with stuff that you create yourself.
Indeed most of the time I have a hard time figuring out what others have done but this one took me less than 5min to get my first inn done!

When moving tokens with cursor keys or keypad, you need to hit 'D' (for drop) to end the move. If you do that, then when you advance to the next token with 'T' it will move as expected.

Hitting 'T' should probably also do a Drop action.
Thanks for this explanation ๐Ÿ˜‰

Re: Overlapping tokens selection issue

I actually never knew that. Pain for the DM, but useful for players. I guess you would use the arrow keys or number pad to move token out from under. Not too much of a pain for me it only cycles between tokens on the current screen so it depends on current zoom and position. It would be nice to hav...

Re: Was drag-and-drop from Windows Explorer removed in 1.7.0?

Using dual monitor here and tried drag from explorer on all possible layers, moving screen between monitors, etc and no problem encountered here (using v1.7.0 with nvidia 2070)

Re: HELP: GETTING STARTED WITH MAPTOOL - TUTORIALS, DOCS, ETC.

Why don't you just run the server from the imac and connect the player TV from there?
I don't know anything about imac sorry if this is a dumb suggestion ๐Ÿ˜‰

Re: Any way to speed up the map preview icons?

Otherwise if you want to work inside MT library try to make subfolders to order your files like random encounter maps-->forest/plains/desert/mountain etc... It takes some time to load because bought cards are often very high-res so limiting the number of them to load in the same folder will cut the ...

Re: Map limit

Indeed i've had new versions memory usage sometimes going up by just scrolling the map, and twice the maptools instance closed with no message (I'm using it for play by post to make screenshots and maptools is open almost all day in the background) not gamebreaking for me but maybe for other people....
