Then I check to see if they have selected one with (Major) at the end. If they have, it should strip off the (Major), add (Minor)
Looks like you can do this to do that:

Code: Select all

[h: name = "Tom (Major)"]
[r: newName = replace(name, "(Major)", "Minor")]

Re: Map names with square brackets

A simple "getAllMapNames()" returns: [Lobby],(Spaceport),Cantina But with [r: "<b>List of Maps</b><br>"] [h: mapNames = getAllMapNames()] [foreach(mapName, mapNames, ""), code: { [r: "Map: "+mapName+"<br>"] }] I get this output: List of Maps Map: ["Lobby"] Map: (Spaceport) Map: Cantina It seems lik...

Re: Map names with square brackets

I have updated from MapTool 1.5.10 to 1.7.0 just recently. After that, some of my macros have raised errors because of the map names I have used on my campaign. To sort special maps I have placed their names on square brackets like "[Lobby]" or "[Home Base]". On 1.5.10 this worked without problems,...

Get Tables image.

How do we "get" the image asset that is set as the image used for the table display in the Tables window?

Really embarrassing, sorry... ^^
We've all been there.

You can only stare at the screen for so long wondering what the heck's going on before seeking assistance... ;)

Good news: I hear that 1.8 will have better error tracking. So, hopefully, macroscript life will soon get a little easier.

Re: getTokenMap and recourse limit

On the past I have written a "getTokenMap" macro on my own but would like to use the built-in getTokenMap function now. Sadly, if I try to use this function I will get an "max recourse limit reached" error (don't know the exact translation atm) after some execusion time. I have executed this functi...

Re: Raoden's Quick'n'Dirty Token Manager

There hasn't been much activity in this drop-in for a loooong time, but it's still in my core campaign framework and I still use it. Unfortunately, I recently ran into a problem with it and it needs a little update. Both Token Manager 2.0 and Aliasmask's TM 2.1 update have two custom functions that ...

Re: Motion Tracker - Just like in Aliens®

I've found what's causing the problems: Token Manager 2.0 It's an old, once quite popular, drop-in utility for token editing. It's been sitting on my core lib map for a looooong time and I still use it when inspecting tokens. But it's definitely blowing Motion Tracker up. :/ I guess I need a new Tok...

Re: Motion Tracker - Just like in Aliens®

Trouble with HTML symbols not staying in their encoded form.. This fixed my JSON [h: settings='{"theta": "", "playSound": 0, "scanVisualRange": 40, "scanDetectRange": 60, "scanUnits": "m", "scanUseFacing": 1, "scanZoomRatio": 1.5, "scanPosition": 0, "scanPositions": [[0,0],[0.25,0],[0.5,0],[0.75,0]...

Re: Motion Tracker - Just like in Aliens®

seen that error also many times and made little sense but it usually was an issue with json... would be nice to know WHERE this issue pops up, if I understood correctly MT 1.8 traces errors inside the function, so perhaps you can run that version and see what the error is that get spat out. I would...

Re: Motion Tracker - Just like in Aliens®

Oh great, just blame it on me. Heh, I'm assuming that I've got something strange going on in my campaign that's getting in the way since I can get it to work properly on other campaigns. ;) You could try using different symbols to see if it goes away; try running the following in chat to see if thi...

Re: MapTool 1.8.0 Beta 2 Released

MT is self-contained. The JVM is part of the install process and is in the install directory. If you're futzing around with the .jar file then you'll have to install a working Java 14 with JFX to launch it with. I'm not "futzing with the jar file" (whatever that means.) I did look at the .cfg file ...

Re: Motion Tracker - Just like in Aliens®

Unable to evaluate expression blipSymbolUp="▲" Any hypotheticals on why I'd be seeing this? The issue seems to be in "execTracker". When I click on the motion trackers onTokenMove and onMultipleTokensMove it throws the same thing. When I frame the bot_execAllPlayers line with pauses the first pause...

Re: MapTool 1.8.0 Beta 2 Released

I wouldn't expect any issues with installing over a folder containing your 1.7 install. Myself, I still install each version in its own directory but that's because I am frequently running multiple versions. So I went ahead and installed in a new location since this is a beta and I ran into my old ...

Re: MapTool 1.8.0 Beta 2 Released

I understand that the installer is new (which is why it doesn't know where my previous version is installed.) If I don't want to use the default location will there be a problem installing it in the same location I'm using for 1.7? Should it cleanly overwrite it or will I be risking legacy files cau...
