Re: MapTool 1.3 Final, patch06 (build 89)
Thanks, Wolph! Greatly appreciated! I had not realized it was regarded a feature in the meanwhile. The first time it was reported in the b89 thread it was regarded a bug. However, as my framework makes heavily use of user defined frames, a setting to deliberately activate/inactivate the feature woul...

Re: MapTool 1.3 Final, patch06 (build 89)
As stated at the top of the page in my previous post, for me the "MapTool forgetting the positions of framework frames"-bug is the show-stopper with b90-beta.wolph42 wrote:what are there motives for not using b90-beta.

Re: MapTool 1.3 Final, patch06 (build 89)
Are there any news on the "MapTool forgetting the positions of framework frames"-issue that Booga has reported in b89 earlier in this thread? ( Post ) It is still there in the b90-beta build that is around for download. I am using a framework that is not too complicated in terms of VBL and...

Re: MapTool Launcher for Linux, Windows, & OS X (June 20, 20
Great Job Az, many thanks. I just tested, looks good in English and French. Could use relative paths, add manual arguments, and the console did open. It did remember the language chosen when restarting. Good to go as far as I'm concerned. What Booga said. Well, I do not know about the French so muc...

Re: MapTool Launcher for Linux, Windows, & OS X (June 10, 20
That's wrong -- it means if your system is set to German that you can't set the locale to English and have it "stick". :( I've fixed that and did one more build. Find 130618b in the OP. Great, that works now! Thanks! In terms of translation to German, I would like to suggest to use "...

Re: MapTool Launcher for Linux, Windows, & OS X (June 10, 20
I've uploaded 130617c to the OP. Let's hope this is the last iteration. Works great, Az! Many thanks!!! :D Both with and without relative paths everything is fine. I tried to launch with console, but no additional window came up - should it? One more thing - would it be possible for the Launcher to...

Re: MapTool Launcher for Linux, Windows, & OS X (June 10, 20
Confirmed. I am also running a Win7 x64 machine with Java7u21. Launcher does not start if mt.cfg is present in the same folder. If mt.cfg is deleted or renamed, first the error message comes up, then after clicking OK nothing happens any more.

Re: MapTool Launcher for Linux, Windows, & OS X (June 10, 20
Hi Az! I am running a Win7 x64 machine and have tested the 130615a-version. I can confirm that the console does not launch. Also, MapTool is launched fine without using relative paths. However, the next time starting the Launcher after having activated the "relative paths" option, a warnin...

Re: MapTool Launcher for Linux, Windows, & OS X (June 10, 20
Edit: I've added Omethiklan's German translation to launcher-130613b. It looks good! (Although I don't speak German so I can't really evaluate it. :) Thanks, Az! Even if it is only a small translation, it feels good to give something back to this great community that has helped me out so often. Eve...

Re: MapTool Launcher for Linux, Windows, & OS X (June 10, 20
Yep, I am MapTooling from Germany! :D Please find attached my translation of the Launcher-properties file in UTF-8 format. Any german-speaking user is welcome to suggest improvements. Translations of some messages are context-dependent, so I hope I got the context right and it does not sound silly.....

Re: MapTool Launcher for Linux, Windows, & OS X (June 10, 20
I'm surprised you didn't get any error message though. Well, there is one. It says "The configuration file was not found. Using the Launcher will create a new one. [OK]" Are you launching it after extracting the ZIP file to a folder? Is the folder on your hard drive or on a flash drive? Y...

Re: MapTool Launcher for Linux, Windows, & OS X (June 10, 20
Hi Az! Many thanks for implementing these changes! The "HowToUseGuide" is great, and thanks a lot for adding the "relative paths" option! However, unfortunately on clicking the "Launch MapTool"-button, MapTool does not execute when I test the launcher. I played around w...

Re: MapTool Launcher for Linux, Windows, & OS X (June 04, 20
Hi Az! I tested the 130610a version on Win7 x64 JAVA7u21, MT1.3b89. Feedback so far: Works fine for me, no major issues. -DMAPTOOL_DATADIR arg is ignored, also putting the correct path in the cfg-file does not help - but I guess that is what you mean to fix according to your edited message. In the B...

Re: MapTool Launcher for Linux, Windows, & OS X (June, 02, 2
@JolarEQ, Omethiklan: I got around to checking the problem with spaces in file paths. It should be working now so do let me know once you've tested it. Tested it - and works great. I introduced spaces both into the path to the MapTool and the Java folder, and still MapTool was launched normally (wh...

Re: MapTool Launcher for Linux, Windows, & OS X (May 29, 201
Agreed - you describe the way to go, and yes, it is only a workaround. What is more, it does not seem to work when you are using relative paths which include folders with spaces in the name. So yes, if there were a resolution to that, that would be great.
