Re: The Inn Generator v1.28

big update:

Version 1.28
- rewritten patron token build up.
- added 'mix patrons' factor to the patron panel. Now its possible to have a mix of different races and genders in a group. (frikkin hard to program though)
- more male human tokens added to the mix

Re: Mini Macro Challenges (Interest)

what I went for is: first user gives percentages of a group being all human, elf, etc. e.g. 75% human, 10% elf, 5 dwarf etc. initially I created an array of 100 items representing the percentages (so 75 x'human', 10 xelf, 5xdwarf), randomized the array and per group just picked the first array item....

Re: Mini Macro Challenges (Interest)

Thanks for the last input...new challenge, bit more tricky to describe and yes this is (quite obviously) also related to the inn generator. This is not so much a matter of how would you code this but more a matter of rules and algorithm... The core question is: how do I fill the bar with random patr...

Re: 1.7 syintax change?

i think you're referring to the Wiki: if() (function) while AM here gives an example of the [if:] (option). And indeed the 'function' version requires both true and false to work, the option does not although as AM says in case of code blocks do declare the false option but leave it empty

Re: Problem with Variable - Macro

the first thing I notice is that you use ' ' both in and outside the macro [] blocks, thats a good reason for things to fail. Next I would suggest that you read the 'READ THIS' link in my sig and get familiar with the MT macro syntax cause I see you using [h: ..... [r: .... ] .....] and that is NOT ...

Re: Token Size - more flexible

Agreed!. AFAIK this has been a thorn in the eye of MT for the simplest reason that the current size implementation is NOT system agnostic. Alas the literal terms are heavily intertwined into the current MT code and not easily rewritten without wreaking heavy havoc. This is the main reason this issue...

Noice! And yeah the pandemic has had quite an influence on the use of VTT's if not only two of my groups who are now avid users!

Re: Getting property from non selected token

can you post teh macro that you have? a wild guess is that you're not using getProperty NPUT = Magic Missile It then runs a macro called Magic Missile @Lib:Spells ie it automatically inserts the input into the macro command [abort(input( "macroName||Give name of macro", "importantValue||Give importa...

Re: listContains() not getting correct results from getRolled() list

im surprised this works at all. [1,2,3] is an array and "1,2,3" is a list. either turn the json array into a list Wiki: json.toList() or use Wiki: json.count()
edit:
ah wait its actually "[1,2,3]" so the 'list' is [1 and 2 and 3] so the only number in there is '2'.

Re: Check die result from eval(someproperty) and return a true/false if a certain die face is rolled

just to be clear you are aware that theres a W40K framework? granted its based on DH 1 but we've implemented RT, DW, OW and BC systems as well, so most rules should be covered by it! and yes theres' obviously a way to do what you want but that would require a more step like macro with a couple of if...

Re: Getting property from non selected token

something like:

Code: Select all

[macro("ring of [email protected]:inventory"):token.name]
or maybe

Code: Select all

[macro("ring of [email protected]:inventory"):json.append("",token.name, other, stuff, you, want, to, pass, on)]
should work.

ring of ram then should start with:
[token = arg(0)]
the other stuff is arg(1), arg(2) etc.

Re: Having trouble with count() in macro.

adding the error reports really help to recognize the issue! to target's there's your problem. Remove the apostrophe ' (and any others that still might be there) It's a bit FU but single ' break code blocks when they're not [h:" 'sealed' "] or 'closed', so either make darn sure there are two in one ...

i wouldnt be surprised if this is related to the hpdi compatibility issue. Try this setting:
