Re: Dice expression question help...

I don't know of any sort of cheat sheet, but the wiki contains the answers to most questions if you look hard enough. It's not always easy to find the information though.

Re: Official(?) MT 1.3 Documentation Project

As I stated in my edited reply, to just display static data a form will not require any macro coding at all, and can be quite functional in that manner. Could you provide an example of an instance when displaying static data in a form would be more beneficial than simply displaying it using (non-fo...

Re: Official(?) MT 1.3 Documentation Project

Let me try to make this simple: In "FORMS" the focus is on design, look and using the HTML to accomplish that while macros use a scripting language which is NOT HTML. ... Front end design (the form) and the back end design (the macro) affect each other, but each is different. I appreciate...

a)I recommend to create a public and notorious list of known errors but that will not be fixed due to complexity. And if it is avalaible to show the workaround. This is a very good idea. We'll need a volunteer to coordinate things. Someone who reads most of the threads here on the forum so they're ...

Re: Official(?) MT 1.3 Documentation Project

One question comes to my mind though: what exactly do you call forms? If its really html forms in maptool frames/dialogs then I wonder about their prominent position. It would be more of a subchapter of macro writing. You are correct on what I say are "forms", and I agree with your thinki...

Re: Hordes

A Horde should be treated by the Games Master as a single vast creature . I think Rumble's suggestion for an aura is your best bet. Also, either I'm misinterpreting you, or you're misinterpreting the book. The range of 30-120+ is not for the individual units in a horde, that represents a horde's ma...

Re: Who broke my Universe? [Survey]

That's funny coming from a community where fantasy and magic is a main theme. I'd argue that gaming is the main 'theme'; not everyone plays a game with fantasy and magic. I guess the power to distinguish between fantasy and reality is a honed skill. ..or a basic skill, and when lacking indicates so...

Re: Who broke my Universe? [Survey]

Oh this too funny, so let me sum this up. Human kind creates calendar based on stars (because that's all the zodiac is) because well it's convenient at the time. Later misguided people for some bizzare reason attach some sort of supernatural influence to the ancient calendar (you know one other tha...

It'll require another macro, but you might be able to use Wiki: execLink() to defer the execution of nextInitiative(), thereby having it output afterwards.

For the sake of completeness; the temporary meta tag inside a frame's content doesn't work either.

Re: MapTool Image Assets

Could you explain why you think tables are such a bad thing? You could store the image for every single card in your game, and the back/s in a single table... and they'd be easy to reference.

Re: Feature requests for 1.4

Sure, turning the grid on via keyboard shortcut or even through the menu isn't "hard", but as someone that always wants the grid on (and I'm certain I'm not alone) that adds up to a lot of wasted effort simply because MapTool doesn't remember my preference. I would actually prefer if 1.4 d...
