Re: MapTool 1.3 Development Build 55

I guess this is the right place for this. I was using macros that worked fine in b54, but in b55 they throw an exception and die. The macros were just HTML text. No math or anything. All of the macros in this campaign do this. Any thoughts? java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/rptools/maptool/client...

I guess this is the right place for this. I was using macros that worked fine in b54, but in b55 they throw an exception and die. The macros were just HTML text. No math or anything. The only "exciting" part was that they were being pulled from a Lib:token. Any thoughts? java.lang.NoClassD...

Re: Long Live MapTools!

That's interesting because I actually don't like rules automation in a VTT. I find that as much as it speeds up game play, it's also restrictive in terms of flexibility when accounting for new rules and exceptions. It's for this reason that while RPTroll is working on his awesome (it really is awes...

Long Live MapTools!

Saw this in the new WotC article and had to post here. Sounds like most people don't want "play tabletop D&D over the internet". Looks like MT won't have competition any time soon. Quote from WotC article (full link at the bottom): One message came across loud and clear – you want tool...

Re: Campaign Buttons vs. Token Buttons (Macro Issues)

Stack overflow.. you have to increase your stack size before starting maptool Yup that was it. I don't think I've ever seen that error. (Guess I should have read the first line). The weird part is that I had people using those macros recently and didn't have that error. Well, I'll have my players u...

Re: Campaign Buttons vs. Token Buttons (Macro Issues)

So I went and started a server and a client. Client connects just fine. On client if I go and press the "Basics Melee Attack" button on the token named "Copy Me 2" MT dies with the following error info. java.lang.StackOverflowError at java.util.regex.Pattern$Loop.match(Unknown So...

Re: Campaign Buttons vs. Token Buttons (Macro Issues)

I don't see any trusted functions in your code, which makes this behaviour seem a bit odd; but I haven't poked that deeply into it. As for the client background, as you can see it looks a little odd: http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/2909/whitebackgroundplz.jpg Yeah sorry about that. I put a post in...

Re: D&D 4E Power Macro API

I've really enjoyed using your Lib:TKText in many of my games. It's worked out very well. Saves me and my players tons of time! I have had one suggestion. Several people have commented that their chat window background isn't white. The Lib:TKText doesn't define the text color (foreground/background)...

Re: Campaign Buttons vs. Token Buttons (Macro Issues)

EDIT2: On an unrelated note, you should never assume the background color of the client(MapTool's chat panel in this case), I for one don't have a white chat panel background; I'd suggest explicitly making the background of the power white where you want it to be white. zEal, Unfortunately I didn't...

Re: Campaign Buttons vs. Token Buttons (Macro Issues)

zEal, I hadn't tried that because I wanted the players to be able to build macro buttons by pulling the power description from the Lib:TKText and the math would then be done in my Lib:KZCombat. As you have probably guessed I want the players to be able to build own their macro buttons. Thanx for pok...

Re: Campaign Buttons vs. Token Buttons (Macro Issues)

I thought arg() could only be used for a user defined function. So in effect these macros would need to be on a Lib: token? They are on a lib:token(see first post); the problem he's running into is having different results if the user defined functions are called from a campaign macro or a token ma...

No problem. Here's the sandbox file that I've been using.

Thanx,

Example: Attack roll: <b>[DiceRoll + LevelBonus + WeaponCBonus + StatBonus + MiscAttBonus]</b><br> Should be: Attack roll: <b>[t: DiceRoll + LevelBonus + WeaponCBonus + StatBonus + MiscAttBonus]</b><br> If you want to make sure it always displays as a tooltip, regardless of a user's preferences.
