Re: Top Down Battlemap using UDK (Unreal3 Engine)

Looks pretty awesome... I always wonder why WotC can't just ditch their paid developers and find some guys like this and incentivize it a bit to get a working creation up and running. The motivation of some guy who loves the game and loves programming stuff like this will always outdo finding some c...

Re: eBook Readers

Well, my girlfriend won a sales contest and got an iPad from work! We own a kindle, and well, the weight and screen type makes the iPad tough to read for a long time on. The nice thing is since we both put books on her kindle, we now have another kindle-like device so we can both read for a bit. I c...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

I've tried setting it up as a personal power that adds a +1 attack bonus condition to the Knight. Activating another stance ends the Poised Assault stance but doesn't remove the +1 condition. Is there an easier way to deal with it than using 'manage conditions' every time? This is probably your sol...

Re: [Rumble 5.1.2] Essentials Support?

Well, I spoke too soon. Something happened that made the token powers un-editable... ;) If you need the token I can pass it along, not 100% sure it is essentials related, but based on the actions last night I suspect. The switching of stances still worked out okay, just when I tried to edit the powe...

Re: [Rumble 5.1.2] Essentials Support?

In my tests, I haven't had too much trouble with the stances working okay for the fighter.

Though, I do hope to move to the slim framework, soon... seems like everything will be a bit easier to manage there.

Re: [Request] GUMSHOE

Any idea how this works with the latest version? We ended up not using a fw last game, just did rolls with real dice and used google docs for notes and stuff.... then we got back to our 4E game. Players are deciding whether they should break before we start the "final castle" of the campai...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

Anyone out there running an Essentials Fighter with any tips? Kind of neat turn of events in my game has left Bahamut dead - the players had a chance to save the platinum dragon, or continue their pursuit of the BBEG who is in line to get access to a vault that would make him more powerful than the ...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

We had one guy who had a super old computer who had to run it at 4. Once he upgraded, we're all back at 2. Just a few minutes from play... super crazy excited. This is the last boss battle before a chunk of RP and then the entry into "the final castle" the one where the "princess"...

Re: Dice rolled by moving over map

@exploding I'm really not sure how to address this. would creating new dice be irritating? I can't remember how savage worlds exploding works, though in Mouse Guard you ONLY get that additional die if you spend a point... so it isn't automatic. Highlighted six though would be enough to be obvious. ...

Re: Dice rolled by moving over map

Looks good, though I think having a roll macro on the individual dice is nice if you don't want to roll them via movement. Other "nice" feature requests might be to allow locking of dice after rolling so you don't reroll them. Maybe change the aura color (like the sw wild die?) Also might ...

Mouse Guard Intro

Played Mouse Guard Intro... We used A Fiasco inspired token die solution to physically roll the D6s as tokens. It worked quite well initially and since you're comparing successes etc, moving the dice around proved to be quite useful. I have some ideas on how to expand it, but we just had a google do...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

Definitely slow in the sense that whenever someone uses an attack power it will show up on their screen very quickly, but everyone else it takes 5 or so seconds to pop up. Initially we were a bit bummed by the slowness, but it's actually turned out to be a boon - it lets the player who ran the macro...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

Excellent! Thanks, that will help me out, too. I think I might be maybe 2-3 versions behind official, do you imagine the change would work for me too? (one more session before we upgrade, don't wanna ruin momentum)
