Re: MapTool 1.8.0 Beta 2 Released
i was wondering if someone could explain how these massive speed improvement where achieved and if its for ALL macros or just ones pertaining to particular functionality (VBL, movement, etc, etc). Check out the discussion in the original issues filed against this: https://github.com/RPTools/maptool...

Re: Survey covering potential features for the future of MapTool
I agree! All of the credit goes to JamzTheMan ! Well, I might not go quite *that* far... ;) I didn't mean to imply that he was personally responsible for each and every feature, but that the renewed energy for the project was his doing. His excitement — combined with his fingers! — really moved thi...

Re: Survey covering potential features for the future of MapTool
I appreciate the initiative in putting out a survey to get community input. Thanks. Are the results going to be made public? Craig is running the survey, but I believe that's the plan. You'd have to ask him, though. ;) And while I'm looking forward to seeing what a MT 2.0 brings (and I hope it ends...

Survey covering potential features for the future of MapTool
Hey all. Craig put up a SurveyMonkey survey of 10 questions to gauge which features users think are the most important for MapTool. When filling it out, you can go back and change previous answers, so don't hesitate if you need to do that! And note that the last question has an "Other" category wher...
Re: Overlays.
I can middle mouse click and open it into a browser window with my current Firefox settings so that's cool. Too bad we can't put svgs inline... seems like that might be a phpBB limitation. I don't want to derail the overlay discussion, but... SVGs can contain script elements, so allowing users to u...
Re: Overlays.
Az said he allowed SVG attachments now... let me test... nope... not working... Apparently, it can't be defined as an "image", even though that's what the browser will consider it to be. I've set it as a "plain text" file. For me, when I click on such an attachment, my browser downloads it automati...
Re: Overlays.
You didn't say why the screen capture couldn't be uploaded (filename extension?).
I've added .svg as a valid extension.

Re: CleanProperties: A tool to selectively mass delete token properties
+1
Agreed! I'm grabbing this right now as well.
And while the "desired properties" feature will suffice, I think having a list of "unapproved properties" (meaning those not in the token's current Property Type) would be a big benefit.
Thanks for sharing!

Re: Rod's D&D 5e Framework
The #general-dev is the perfect place. :) We have another Discord server we use for management things (like web site issues and such). But the Discord channel that you all know and love is probably the best place if you need instant feedback, and the forum is better for long-term storage and a broad...

Re: Rod's D&D 5e Framework
Hey, that's impressive! I read your Discord message that you have some design background and wanted it to show in your framework — it certainly does! This is very nicely put together, with great looking HTML panels (that by itself is a big accomplishment!), consistently sized buttons, a nicely color...

Re: Announcement: MapTool 1.5.6 Released
I'm not sure why you aren't getting this but these audio functions are strictly local playback. Maybe it would help to think of it like an app on your phone that can play local media, or if you give it a URL, it can download it and play it. (VLC is like this, although it'll start playing immediatel...

Re: Announcement: MapTool 1.5.6 Released
Lastly (and unrelated to the above), has there been any discussion about having object based sound with proximity volume? I suspect that it would be similar to light sources and might even incorporate "hearing" types much like vision types (i.e. a deaf/silenced player wouldn't heard anything from a...

Re: MapTool 1.5.5 Release Candidate 2 Available
That looks like a video driver issue, not a problem with MT. Try turning off all video acceleration options in your video driver and I’ll bet that corrects it. If it does, you just need a video driver update.
