Re: [Crazy?] Going 3D?

What ever happened to the guy who was playing around with the NWN models?

http://www.assembla.com/spaces/vmat/wiki

He just kinda dropped off - seems abandoned now.

Too bad, I was looking forward to playing around with it.

Re: Initiative: turn information storing

Put them in a library - 1 spot to look instead of having to cycle through each token on the board. I found it to be much faster.

You store the tokens name in whatever you are counting down, and when it reaches 0 you have it execute it when the initiative matches.

Re: Adding State durations to the character sheet?

Just adding it a display is easy enough. Decreasing the rounds with initiative (and automatically removing the condition) is what's a pain in the butt. Since there's nothing built in, you'd have to create your own. For fastest results, you have an intiative library which stores all the information t...

Re: DND 4.0 vs 3.5

Pathfinder cleric ROCKS!!!! (You can use your channel energy to heal the group, so you have a ton more readily available healing on top of being able to convert spells into heal spells.) 4E cleric is a let-down after playing PF cleric. You have insufficient healing capabilities and they are bound t...

Re: DND 4.0 vs 3.5

My problems with 4e are less about the mechanics and more about the canonical events in the forgotten realms being a little silly. The system itself... well... I lament the loss of Chaotic good, lawful neutral, chaotic neutral and lawful evil more than anything else. But, aside from pathfinder and ...

Re: DND 4.0 vs 3.5

One thing you'll find with 4th is that characters really start to develop into who they are going to be at level 11, and that is mainly due to paragon paths. Plus rituals start getting better at higher levels too. I am not saying that levels before 11 are not fun, they are, but when I finally hit l...

Re: DND 4.0 vs 3.5

Well, my group tried out 4e over the weekend. It's a different game, different style. Don't know if we'll keep with it, but the reason we changed was due to the healing. Not that healing is in anyway realistic in either version, but none of my players wanted to play the cleric in 3.5/Pathfinder. 4e ...

How goes the development? I'm looking forward to any updates you have. I see from your blog that you've been working on this (*thank you*).

Just wondering how it's going?

Re: Beyond Maptool 1.3: Minimum Screen Resolution Recommenda

My group has 3 laptops with 1280x720, 1 with 1024x800 and one 1680x1050 (I think). I used to use a netbook with 1024x600 resolution, but gave it to a family member in favour of a 13" thin and light laptop instead. However when developing, I usually use a machine with 1920x1080, but only use 1/2...

Re: hiding enemies' stats from the players

How's this? The view is based off of if the token is a PC or an NPC so I have a different view than the players. ---| NPC Views |--- *#HPShowNPC (Hit Points):[r:if(isNPC(), CurrentHP+" / "+ MaxHP,"")] *#ACNPC (AC/Tch/FF):[r:if(isNPC(), TotalArmour+" / "+ TouchArmour +&q...

Re: Macro Question - find tokens in a line between two token

Holding down Control and Shift allows me to change the aura facing by the 5 degrees as you said.

Cool, thank you very much.

Re: Macro Question - find tokens in a line between two token

Cntrl or Shift?

Control doesn't seem to do anything. Shift will change the facing, but it's only available on the corners or the sides.

In this example, the mad wizard is safe....

Im guessing you don't mean the arc cause you can set that at any angle so do you mean ctrl+mousewheel ?

Yeah. the facing is only on 8 points from what I see. Limits the creativity of the lightning bolts if I do it that way.
