Re: MapTool 1.3 Final, patch05 (build 89)
Great work - it's nice to see MT still moving on-wards and upwards (which is more than can be said for the WOTC VTT)
Thank you all

Re: Attention: Windows Users using JAVA 7 with MapTool
Any rough eta on this, I have just started playing again (hence my absence for so long). One of my players has to have Java 7 for work - and is having some issues that I am not sure are Java 7, but I cant rule it out. I have no idea how to compile a new build for my self - so kind of want to put off...

Re: Secret macros help
I am having similar issues, but trying to keep things very simple (playing with MT again after a long fur-low) I seem to have forgotten so much, and don't have time to remember it all . . . I am just creating a dice roller - to take advantage of the built in SR4 functionality (using MT in almost it'...

Re: what gaming app(s) are missing but needed?
There are a wide variety of good apps starting to appear, besides MT you have things like Hero Lab for character generation. What is missing are phone and tablet apps that integrate in to these - I would love to have an app that ran as a character sheet on my phone, to use after I had created the sh...

Re: Bard's Guild
A thought on the pod cast idea - can they go on an open source option as well as iTunes. The RP community is full of geeks (there is a large arrow pointing at my head right now) that means a large number for and against the apple camp (I for one will never put iTunes on any system I have anything to...

Holy Crap, I wander away for 5 minutes - and when I come back the Troll thinks he's Shakespeare!
Well done, I can't think of anyone better to present RPTools to the masses.

z reverses the direction of the mouse wheel for zoom, when you are on the map.
It was put in to help with the high precision issue with Microsoft mice.

Re: Fog of War Layer
Yes, but the current move macro code could be used to automate it, controlling which layer the token was on and then just set it so that when the gm clicks on a token in either the initiative frame or map explorer. Of course to really make it wonderful (and an even bigger headache of course) you wou...

Re: Copy whole map and rotate it.
What you are asking is not easy, if the map is a jpeg it wouldn't be hard, or you could take a screen shot and rotate that - your problem would then be that the players would see that everything had been rotated. Your best bet may be to copy the room to another part of the map, facing the same way, ...

Re: macro templates
I was looking at doing it in reverse, Lay down the token with a specific name (say 'target') Then use that name in your macro for any calculations you want to do - it's easier than pausing your spell manager half way through to enable you to place the new token. As I don't believe there is a token c...

Re: MapTool 1.4
Will there be any easy way to transfer maps - sans vbl, just the standard layers over.
That way, though we have have to rebuild frameworks and replace VBL any base map work will be there at least

I think you guys have made the right choice, We may not get instant gratification out of it - the the ability to add and improve long term will make things faster in the long run. Looks like the right guys were in the right place (or wrong place depending on your point of view) as Trevor fled for th...
