Ok, that was an easy solution. Just download the maptool build 87 from the download page. Extract the zip file and instead of hitting the maptools launcher. Just click the executable jar file.

I am having the same problem getting Maptools to work in Windows 8. Getting the same error. Its a brand new computer and a fresh install of java 7 update 10

Problem Solved. I was using Java 7 and Maptools build 84. Upgraded to build 87 and everything works fine.

Thanks for the suggestions. I can not get it all on to a token cause, I can not load a token from the old set into the new set so looks like I am going to have to do it step by step.

I would like to be able to create a light with the aura option and apply it to a token using a macro or other method of automation. I want to set the maximum distance of the aura to match a value held in a json object on the token.
