Re: MT1.3b91.03 Pathfinder + D&D3.5 Framework UPDATED AGAIN

Is there a way to get a calculation into the Notes field for a skill? For example, a ranger adds half his level to Survival checks made to follow tracks; can I add a note formatted such that it calculates floor(Level/2) as part of the note?

Re: How to Clear the Recent Campaigns List

Found it by searching the Windows registry.

Under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\/Map/Tool\prefs there is a key called mru/Campaigns. That contains the whole list. Wiping that out or modifying as desired resolves the issue.

Might want to put this in the MapTools How To forum.

How to Clear the Recent Campaigns List

I could have sworn there was a way to clear the Recent Campaigns list but I can't for the life of me find it now. I've searched these forums with Google, I've searched the MapTool wiki, I've searched through MapTool and I just can't find it.

Re: Append Campaign Properties

That looks like it'll work perfectly.

Thanks for holding my hand through all this, guys. I'll get to work applying what I've learned here and hopefully this weekend I'll have something to show for it.

Re: Append Campaign Properties

I'm afraid that I'm coming off sounding like a whiner because I don't want to add that one line of code. But it's not just that one line of code. Some of the properties impact multiple other properties. For example, when the level of Unrest changes throughout the kingdom, I want to be able to write:...

Re: Append Campaign Properties

Just use eval on them if you use it. I'm having a heck of a time getting this to work with values defined by setProperty(). eval() only seems to recognize values defined in the Campaign Properties. For example: [h: setProperty("sds.Size", 0)] [h: setProperty("sds.ControlDC", 20 ...

Re: Append Campaign Properties

I've been using the method that aliasmask offered and it's been working great for the tables so far. I've only just gotten started with it (real life intrudes) but I'll get more of those done this weekend. I do have a question about Rumble's suggestion about using setProperty() and getProperty(). I'...

Re: Append Campaign Properties

You can replace tables by json.arrays. And there are different ways to do so.[...] So, I've done a little bit of poking around and, despite the fact that json objects and arrays seem a little daunting to me, I'm willing to give it a go. At first glance it seems like the advantage to using objects r...

Re: Append Campaign Properties

What kind of access will happen (read/write, how often, how performant has it to be, how much data, ...)? The data in the tables is only read - it is not written to once the tables are created. Is there much "code" in the tables? Most of the tables are just text or calls to other tables. ...

Re: Append Campaign Properties

...I can look into extending the table import/export feature to see about supporting multiple tables at once. What about the possibility of importing a campaign to "Append to..." instead of replace an existing campaign file? If possible, that would be the better solution since that covers...

Re: Append Campaign Properties

Okay, I think I get how to convert the campaign properties into a portable form by use getProperty() and setProperty() but I'm having a difficult time wrapping my head around what to do with the randomization tables. The framework uses tables for randomization of kingdom events and magic items. So I...

Re: Append Campaign Properties

Interesting. It does sound like it would take some retrofitting but I could do that. How does that impact the relationship between the Lib: token and the token macros that call the Lib: token? If I understand what you're describing, it sounds like you're fabricating properties on the fly rather than...

Re: Append Campaign Properties

Aliasmask has the gist of it exactly. What I have is a framework for Paizo's Kingmaker Adventure Path which uses a new set of rules for kingdom-building. I've created a framework to accommodate those rules. It's intended to supplement an already existing Pathfinder or 3.5 framework like Lindsey's; t...

They're called from the libFillItems macro on the Lib:Kingdom token.

EDIT: Also from the Kingdom Events macro on the Kingdom token.

Re: Append Campaign Properties

Anyone who wants to can check it out HERE. Keep in mind that it's still a work in progress. Many of the tables are used for random generation of magic items throughout the kingdom. At present, I only have the Minor items input. There would a lot more tables (approximately three times as many) when t...
