Re: How dead is this?
"Dying project", "God Awful". Wow. When I'm looking for help the first thing I do is insult people and trash their work. As someone that's actually a qualified programmer and used many languages, MT script is heaps of fun. It's got it's quirks but it does the job. I dunno, if I h...

Re: how to rotate a token
The token needs to be Top-Down (token config). With the token selected hold shift or shift+ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel. Or right-click and set the facing.

Re: Line of Sight
Yea, I would actually like to include that and will look at it when the time comes... FWIW, Pathfinder (and probably other DnD grid based games) do count all squares for LOS. Say a large (2x2) creature is standing with 1 square exposed around a corner, he can see down the hall. Furthermore, he can ...

Re: My Maptool Dream.
I'd love to see a 3D Maptool but I wouldn't need the physics engine, just the graphics engine. Can't see a reason to be able to accurately throw objects in the space, unless you also want to model player tantrums. The third dimension would remove one of the weaknesses of MT, which is being able to h...

Re: My Feature Requests and Bugs I found - MapTool
@metatheurgist: Even with 3rd edition lighting - when there is a darkness around you, and you have darkvision, you are supposed to see to 60ft. Fine. But when there are light sources around you (or further away, in front of you), don't tell me that you are not supposed to see what is going there as...

Re: My Feature Requests and Bugs I found - MapTool
1. Pretty sure strict token ownership fixes that. I've never seen it in our games 2. Not a bug. Maptool does 3rd edition light. It doesn't do 5th edition light. It'd be nice if MT was flexible enough to do both but that's a feature request not a bug 4. Right-click -> Move to back. This is just a Z o...

Re: Undead with bad smell / frightening presence
I think you have to take context into account. In our world, undead are not real. Fictional characters encountering undead set in our world should be horrified when they encounter something like that. In the D&D world, undead are real. You might not see them often but it's an accepted reality. W...

Re: How do I write this custom sight?
Heh, we were just grappling with this one in my group. MT vision works more around "Can you see it or not". Not "How bright is it?". There are no settings for levels of light for vision, only illumination. Though one of the devs has a custom MT where he has things like working da...

I'm curious too. Maybe a screenshot? Either way I would've thought it'd be an easy fix with tinylaf and custom default.theme.

Then you already know about isNumber(). I think if it's not a number it's a string in MT.

Re: strfind() - doesn't like my regexes
There were some 30-50 or more results on multiple tables depending on if you were using spell(seperated tables for fire, cold, electric, etc), piercing, bludgeoning, or slashing weapons. Of course, it was all super descriptive. Way to super detailed for me.... However, this would be an incredible s...

Re: MapTool 1.4.0.5
Excuse me for being thick, but have we reached a point where old macros won't work with the 1.4 series? I had a look at each of the 1.4.x release threads and it wasn't obvious. At what point do I have to update MTscript to JavaScript?
