Re: Area templates on Hex map?

My group is still on 1.3.b89, so I don't think that's the problem. This is what I see using a grid and both types of hex map.

Have you tried it with a brand new campaign file?

Re: Area templates on Hex map?

I just use auras. They're prettier and more flexible. Either every square/hex touched is hit or maybe the ones that aren't completely or majority covered get half damage or a bonus. that's fine for explosions and circular effects, but doesn't help for cones That's the main one that needs help ... l...

Re: Daily use tracking macros

Here's one of my 3rd Ed. tokens. The parts you might be in interested in are the spellbook and daily macro groups. This was the first time I attempted this so the code is probably really ugly. Strongly recommend you ignore the rest unless you enjoy headaches.

Re: Critical Hit macro?

At it's most basic, this is a d20 roll. [h:roll=d20] [if(roll==1), code: { Fumble! };{}] [h:threatrange=19] [if(roll>=threatrange), code: { Critical Chance. };{}] [if(roll!=1 && roll <threatrange), code: { Normal Attack. [r:roll] };{}]

Re: Critical Hit macro?

Have you considered looking at some of the Pathfinder/3.5 frameworks to see what they're doing?

Re: Really Microsoft?

Passwords are a ridiculous solution for modern computer security. They were fine in the 80s, but completely unwieldy now. You have to use a password that's at least 20 characters, isn't related to anything you'd remember, use all the characters and change it every month, for every site you use. Peop...

Re: Macro that makes a custom roll Macro

You probably want to check out input and createMacro. You can get all the information in the one input.

Re: Marco help

getProperty() and setProperty() both have an optional tokenid parameter (this is one of those things in the function documentation). The tokenid parameter can only be used in a trusted token (which is usually a lib token). You can also switch token context by using switchToken(). This will make the ...

Re: Marco help

The input function is just to accept input, so there's no options for buttons. The only ones you have are OK and Cancel. The first string in the input field is the variable that collects the value of the input type. In your case that would be "Hit", so you'd want to check the value of Hit ...

Re: createMacro()

""+x+"" is basic string manipulation. It's mostly common to a lot of programming languages. The trick is understanding the context to apply it to get the value of a variable instead of the name of the variable. That's something you learn to do as a coder, whether you self-teach o...

Lock Image

I've had this issue for a while now and I don't know if it's in the new versions but here we go. Often when I'm making a map I'm assembling it from several images, and then maybe painting on one or more of the layers. Maybe a general layout of the walls, paint the floor with a texture, put several d...
